Web Service Parameters

Web Service parameters are used to set the parameters required for updating Autoline with new CAP data. When you have completed the CAP Web service parameters you can download CAP data files from the CAP server using the CAP Wizard.

To set or check Web Service Parameters:

  1. Select the Franchise Data Module and CAP Data Company.

    The Franchise Data Menu is displayed.

  2. Select Data Import.

    The DATA IMPORTS menu is displayed.

  3. Select CAP.

    The CAP Wizard is launched.

  4. Select the Tools > Web service parameters option from the wizard's menu bar or click the Web service parameters Web parameters button.

    The Web Service Parameters form is displayed.

Web Service Parameters Form

This form is displayed when you select Tools > Web service parameters from the menu bar on the CAP Wizard or click the Web parameters button. It enables you to set the web service parameters required for updating Autoline with new CAP data.

Menu bar Toolbar Action
File > Edit Edit Enables you to make changes to the parameters.
File > Save File save Saves any changes you have made to the parameters.
File > Exit Exit Returns you to the CAP Wizard at whichever stage it was at when you left it.

Help > Help Product settings Displays this help topic in a browser.

CAP web service:

WSDL address: CAP SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) web service URL (http://www.capdownload.co.uk/CAP_DataDownload_ Webservice/datadownload_webservice.asmx?WSDL).

HTTP GET address: CAP HTTP GET web address (http://www.capconnect.co.uk/CAP_DataDownload_ Webservice/datadownload_webservice.asmx/Stream_LatestPackage?).

HTTP host address: CAP HTTP host web address (www.capconnect.co.uk).

Subscriber ID: CAP subscriber ID.

Password: CAP subscriber password.

Timeout (milliseconds): Timeout value in milliseconds to wait for a response from the internet connection.

Note: The UKstd directory has standard data (capwp.csv) and it is used to populate the first three fields.

Proxy:

IP address: IP address of the proxy server, or blank if no proxy is used.

Proxy port: Port number used to connect to the proxy server (8080).

Username: User name for logging onto the proxy server to enable access to the internet.

Password: Password for logging onto the proxy server to enable access to the internet.
