The prices tab provides pricing information for variant options and delivery. Retail and cost values are set here. The cost is set at a margin or as value depending on the model or variant record and will be derived from either the option, variant, model or franchise as applicable. The prices tab allows the user to view, create and amend prices as required.
Every option price you create holds start and end date (but end date could be blank, which means any date in the future), and when new vehicles are created in vsb, after choosing the variant code a window showing all generations with start and end dates, so the correct price for the vehicle can be chosen - the system will highlight what is thought to be the correct generation by looking at which generation is valid for today.
Franchise: Displays the franchise.
Model: Displays the model.
Variant: Displays the variant.
Model year: Displays the model year, if completed within the variant record.
Option Type: Displays the option type, this field will be blank for variant and delivery prices.
Option: Displays the option code and description.
Effective from and Effective to: The price is effective between these two dates..
Retail price: The retail price for the variant, delivery or option.
Taxable retail price: The taxable retail price for the variant, delivery or option.
Cost price: The cost price of the variant, delivery or option.
Or
Margin percentage: The margin percentage of the variant, delivery or option.
Calculated value: A calculated cost price after a margin % is entered.
Credit price: This option will only appear if the option is marked as a standard removable option, if you require the amount to be removed then prefix the amount entered with a (-) negative otherwise any amounts entered will be treated as a positive cost.
Car tax flag: This field, if activated, overwrites the car tax flag on the variant.
