FREEZE WASHOUT CONTROL

Overview

The Freeze Washout Controls form is accessed via Contract Administration / Final Washout / Freeze Washout Controls and also in Terminations / Final Washouts / Freeze Washout Control.

The option to freeze the controls enables the posting flags to be set against each posting which, in turn, allows or disallows the relevant posting to the General Ledger for those agreements available for Final Washout. The rules defining availability for Washout are as follows:

The reason for setting posting flags at Washout is to avoid the system doing catch-up postings for an item which is about to be processed now but which was not posted two years previously.

The flag settings are automatically selected from the controls held against Invoice Types (in Miscellaneous Options within the System Management menu). The flags are available for alteration prior to washout. However, once washout has taken place the flag settings cannot be altered.

The form is split into three areas. These are the Titlebar, the Freeze Washout Controls Dialogue Box and a series of Command Buttons at the bottom of the form.
