Quote Details Dialogue Box

The Quote Details Tab contains the following information:

Period: Displays the quoted contract period in months e.g. 36.

Annual Mileage: Displays the quoted contract mileage per annum.

Non-Maintenance: A check-box which is ticked indicates a non-maintenance contract.

Frequency: This field displays the frequency of invoiced regular payments to be made within the quoted contract. For example, monthly payments displays a frequency of 1 whilst annual payments displays a frequency of 12.

Contract Mileage: Displays the quoted contract mileage for the full term of the contract.

Funded Capital: Displays the total cost of all financed elements within the quotation. (Switches are set within the Calculation Methods Tab within System Maintenance / System Parameters to determine which elements are to be capitalised e.g. VRB, VAT, etc).

Total Budgets: Displays a value calculated from the total Budget cost for inclusive Product Options (see the Product section) plus the Total Overheads figure.

Finance Rate (Cap): Displays two fields. The first field displays the derived "A" rate for financing the capital value. If a Finance Calculation Method Code of DAB (i.e. "Derived A&B Rates" set up in the Finance Sources form) is selected then this rate is derived. It is derived (via a Discounted Cash Flow algorithm)from the interest rate figure that is input into the Rate 1 field in the Finance Profiles interest Rates table within the appropriate band for the vehicle cost. This derived interest value is displayed here.

The second field displays the real "A" rate. If a Finance Calculation Method Code of RAB (i.e. "Rates A&B" set up in the Finance Sources form) is selected then this factor is input directly into the Rate1 field within the Finance Profiles interest Rates table in the appropriate band for the vehicle cost. The real "A" Factor Rate used within the quotation for the capital element of the finance is displayed here. The factor is a rate of money per £1000.

Total RV: Displays the quoted residual value.

Total Interest: The amount being charged by the finance house to fund the vehicle. (i.e. the Quoted Finance value less Depreciation).

Fin Rate (RV): Displays two fields. The first field displays the derived "B" rate for financing the residual value. If a Finance Calculation Method Code of DAB (i.e. "Derived A&B Rates" set up in the Finance Sources form) is selected then this rate is derived. It is derived (via a Discounted Cash Flow algorithm) from the interest rate figure that is input into the Rate 2 field in the Finance Profiles interest Rates table within the appropriate band for the vehicle cost. This derived interest value is displayed here.

The second field displays the real "B" rate. If a Finance Calculation Method Code of RAB (i.e. "Rates A&B" set up in the Finance Sources form) is selected then this factor is input directly into the Rate2 field within the Finance Profiles interest Rates table in the appropriate band for the vehicle cost. The real "B" Factor Rate used within the quotation for the capital element of the finance is displayed here. The factor is a rate of money per £1000.

Total Net RV: Displays the residual value net of VAT.

Total Depn: Displays the total depreciation (i.e. Funded capital cost - including all capitalised values e.g. RFL + Reg Fee - less the net residual value).

Contract Profit:

Balloon Payment: The "Balloon" may be defined as the residual value of final purchase repayment for the vehicle.

Total Overhead: Displays a value calculated from the Overhead value (set up in the Value field within the Calculation Details Tab in System Maintenance / System Parameters) multiplied by the Period.

Additional Profit:

Deposit: If applicable, the Deposit amount that has been entered in the primary Quotations form.

Total Profit: This is calculated from the Margin and can be expressed in a number of different ways. Switches are set within the Calculation Methods Tab in System Maintenance / System Parameters to determine which profit calculation method is used; currently available methods are as follows:

M Monthly Value

T %age of Total Costs (inc. Total Overhead)

B %age of Basic Price

D %age of Discounted Basic Price

F Finance Profit

O %age of OTR

Dlr Comm Profit:

Deposit Refundable: If a deposit is refundable then the system stores the deposit value and does not reduce the capital cost by this value. The refundable deposit is displayed here.

Total Costs: Displays the total costs figure which is calculated from the Quoted Finance total plus the Total Budget (excluding Overheads).

Total Profit: Displays the quoted profit margin for the quotation. This is displayed as either a monetary amount (if, for example, Monthly Value is selected in the contract profit Calculation Method Tab - see above) or as a percentage. The top-level default margin is set up within the Quotations Defaults Tab in System Maintenance/System Parameters. This can be overridden at customer level (see the Fleet Details Command Button within the Companies Tab in the Marketing module). It can also be edited at a quotation level by utilising Edit Margin from the Tools menu bar option).

Payment Pattern Table: Displays the rental payment pattern, in tabular form, broken down by product split(Finance, Maintenance, etc). The column headers display the Product Type, Rental and appropriate Product Splits. The first row of the table displays the initial payment pattern in the Product Type column, the total initial rental value and the initial rental values for each product split. The second row of the table displays the period rentals payment pattern (and month of commencement) in the Product Type column, the period rental value and the period rental values for each product split.
