Selection of Residual Groups Maintenance (accessed via the Miscellaneous Options / Residual Values Management Menu) presents the Residual Groups Matrix form. This form is typically utilised to allocate a residual table to a manually created variant. Once a table is created it is then allocated to the appropriate vehicle variants via the Vehicle Data Management process. Within the Vehicle Data Management option the appropriate vehicle variants are selected for the residual table in the Selection Tab and then the Residual Table No. is selected in the Edit field in the Edit Tab. The appropriate Residual Table number can then be entered in the grid for the selected variants.
In the Vehicle Data Management Edit Tab select
Residual Value Price via the button and enter the residual price to base the RV calculation upon. This
is typically the List Price.
Note: Always ensure the
in Residual Grp Maintenance is taken
to move the Residual Group Matrix values to the Data Preperation area. Also, use the
From DP to Live function in the Residual value copy
option to bring the RV tables live after any changes to the residual value price.

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.
The contents of the Residual Groups Matrix menu bar is as follows:
- New
Generates the next Table Number ( a unique sequential number for the creation of a new residual group matrix.
- Save
Saves amendments to the current residual group matrix.
Displays the Print Selection Dialogue Box for the purposes of printing the current residual group matrix.
- Exit
Exits the current form and returns to the Residual Value Options menu. If the table has not been saved then the user is prompted to confirm that they wish to exit and save or cancel.
- Full Update
Updates any vehicle variants (selected within Vehicle Data Management) that currently have a Residual Table No. selected against them with the current residual value percentage (of list price) held within this table.
Provides online access to a context sensitive Help form. In addition, the About option provides the version number and copyright information relevant to this product.
As with the menu bar, the content of the toolbar is dependent upon the particular process that is being accessed. The full toolbar contents, however, are as follows:

The residual groups matrix area consists of table number/description fields and a residual value manipulation matrix:
The system allocates the next unique sequential number for the table.
A user-defined description for the residual value table.
This matrix contains the residual value percentages to be used within the quotation or ratesbook.
The Age/Mileage Grid is determined by the values defined within the Age/Mileage Tab within System Controls.
Each column header displays the appropriate age band e.g. 12 Mths, 18 Mths, etc.
Each row header displays the appropriate mileage band e.g. 5000, 10000 miles per annum, etc.
Each cell within the grid holds an appropriate residual value percentage for each age/mileage combination. The values in this tab can be edited via a double-click within the cell.
