The FQ Data Copy form is accessed via Fleet Quotations / Miscellaneous Options / Data Import / MLL Vehicle Data Copy.
This option merges existing DD data between source and destination companies plus does full copy of DD options files. The companies to be merged are set up as parameters in the menu editor:
$FROMDDCO=00
$TODDCO=02
$FROMFQCO=01
$TOFQCO=02
Merging the data means only New vehicles are added to the destination file and existing vehicles are left intact.
Note: The aim of this option was to set up a DD company at the beginning of the year so the MLL Franchise Data Copy option is used to create a new DD company. Then throughout the year they keep the existing vehicle prices intact and only want to add NEW vehicles into this DD data company and update all options so the FQ Data Copy option is run. . Obviously the normal CAP or DH update would do both create and update vehicles so these options could not be used for this purpose.
The form is split into two areas. These are the Titlebar and the FQ Data Copy Dialogue Box and a series of Command Buttons.
In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.
Consists of a list box which describes the current merge process and containing the following fields:
Stage: Simply numbers the stage of the merge e.g. Stage 1 = Adding data, Stage 2 = Copying data, etc.
Action: A full description of the merge process that is currently taking place e.g. Adding data to 02.DD.franc
Progress: The progress status e.g. Complete, copying, etc.
Read: To total number of records read during the merge.
Created: To total number of records created during the merge.
Updated: To total number of records updated during the merge.
