The File Usage Statistics screen is accessed via System Maintenance / File Usage Statistics and provides a list of all the files within the module database and the percentage 'in use' situation as far as each file is concerned. The End-of-Day program automatically includes any files on a report which have exceeded their set warning level, but this program can be used to monitor the situation in between times.

This screen is constituted of three elements, which are as follows:

The information shown in the File Usage Grid is as follows:
The current module identifier e.g. FD (Movement Control).
The currently selected company number e.g. 73 .
The sequential number of the file within the database e.g. 1 .
The short code for the file e.g. de .
The five character filename e.g. delvy .
The full description of the file e.g. Delivery Records .
The number of records that can currently be held within the file e.g. 3,000 .
Displays the number of records currently within use within the file e.g. 2,300 .
A given percentage denoting how full the file may become prior to it reaching warning level e.g. 90% .
A percentage denoting how full the file currently is e.g. 76% .
Tip: If any of the files are over eighty per cent full, they will be marked up in yellow.If they are over ninety per cent full they will be shown in red.
The following command buttons are available:
Exits to the System Maintenance Menu.
Provides online context-sensitive help.
Prints the list of files to the currently selected printer.
Tip: If a file is registering nearly full and there is uncertainty as to what action to take, then Software support should be contacted.
