Level Lookup File

Note: This help system contains standard information, some of which might not apply to your franchise. There might be a help file specific to your Autoline configuration. It could be either in the help system specific to your manufacturer, or displayed when you click the Help button on the relevant form or menu.

The level lookup file allows you to categorise operations and limit the details displayed to users of Autoline Point-of-Sale when they use the search facility to identify a labour code for a selected model.

Note: For the system to build lookup levels, you must set up the labour code setup parameters.

Level Lookup File Form

This form is displayed when you select the Level lookup file option from the Labour Code menu. It enables you to categorise operations and limit the details displayed to users of Autoline Point-of-Sale when they use the search facility to identify a labour code for a selected model.

Note: For more information about levels, see Levels and Labour Codes.

Each grid row represents a level definition. For example, if a grid row with a Lookup level of 3 whose Description is Wheels and Tyres is allocated a Code of 11, selecting Wheels and tyres in Point-of-Sale displays all Codes prefixed 11 at a Lookup level of 3.

Lookup level: Hierarchy level on which the Code resides. For example, a particular Code representing a high-level assembly in the vehicle is likely to reside at the top-most level. Several Codes can share the same level.

Code: Identifies an individual level, such as a vehicle assembly (residing at the top-most hierarchy Level), a sub-assembly (at an intermediate hierarchy Level), or a labour operation (at the bottom hierarchy Level).

Description: Describes the individual level
