The manufacturer supplies a price mapping file when they require the Autoline system to build part numbers in a specific format. You are given the option to convert mapping files when you use the Price File Set-up option to upload and convert the price file from a remote computer. During the conversion, the system initialises the price mapping file and builds a new mapping table using generic index files identified in the Source mapping files group box on the Files tab of the price parameters.
For full details of the contents of the price mapping file, refer to the manufacturer's own documentation.
Note: If the manufacturer issues price mapping files, it is unlikely that you will ever need to make changes, unless advised to do so. You can create, amend or delete records on the mapping file. However, any changes that you make will be overwritten the next time an update is uploaded.
To access the mapping file:
From the OPERATIONS menu, select the Parts price file menu option.
The MASTER PARTS PRICE FILE MENU is displayed.
Select the Price mapping file option.
The Price file mapping form is displayed.
