Within a given franchise, individual vehicle specifications are normally grouped together by model, such as Renault Clio, Mercedes A Class, Ford Focus.
These model codes are used in both the vehicle administration and CRM vehicle records, and can be used as a parameter to modify the postings to the nominal ledger from vehicle administration if model analysis is required. This model code is not meant to define the vehicle down to the lowest level, such as 1.25 LX 3 door saloon. That is achieved with the addition of a variant code.
The Model Codes form is displayed, when the Model Codes option is selected from the Franchise Data menu.
