Used to define the individual component parts for which a specific Service Level Response is required. Component parts are allocated to a particular module and may be defined as Standard so that they may be used for all customers. The component code may, for example, consist of a letter to be sent to the customer in prompt time e.g. Send Claim form to driver.

To access SLR Codes Creation:

  1. From the Master Menu, select the Fleet System Management option and Company required.

    The Fleet System Management Menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Miscellaneous Options option.

    The Miscellaneous Options Menu is displayed.

  3. Select the SLR Details Menu

    The SLR Menu is displayed

  4. Select the Create SLR Component Codes option.

    The SLR Codes Creation form is displayed.

The form is split into three areas. These are the Titlebar, the SLR Codes Creation Dialogue Box and the column of Command Buttons down the right-hand side of the form.

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.

To create a new SLR Component Code select the Create Command Button.

To view or amend an existing SLR Component Code use the following procedure:

The cursor is located in the SLR Module Code field prompting selection of an existing module code/description. Use the [...] button to select the module to which the component code is applicable. The cursor is then located in the SLR Component Code field prompting selection of an existing component code/description. Use the [...] button to select the appropriate component code.

Details Tab

Displays a number of details relating to the selected SLR Component Code which are as follows:

SLR Module Code: The module for which the service level response item is applicable. This typically represent modules or departmental areas within the Kestrel System.

SLR Component Code: The service level item for which the service level response item is applicable. This may, for example, consist of a letter to be sent to the customer in prompt time e.g. Send Claim form to driver.

SLR Component Desc: The full description associated with the component code.

SLR Text: A further expansion of the component description perhaps expanding upon the kind of service level required for this component item.

Percentage Required: The required percentage level of Service Response to be met for the SLR component code.

Standard Item: A checkbox which, if ticked, denotes that this SLR component code is considered to be a standard item which may be used by more than one customer.

Int/Ext Requirement: An E denotes that the service level response is an external requirement i.e. for a customer. An I denotes that the service level response is an internal requirement i.e. for a department within your own company.

Levels

Minimum (Hours): The minimum level acceptable, in hours, for concluding this SLR component item.

Minimum (Days): The minimum level acceptable, in days, for concluding this SLR component item.

Minimum (Units): The minimum level acceptable, measured in a unit other than time (e.g. the number of quotations produced by the Sales team), for concluding this SLR component item.

Minimum (Unit Type): The unit type description if the minimum level of response deemed acceptable is measured in a unit other than time e.g. Quotations

Response (Hours): The minimum level of time deemed acceptable (in hours) before a response is received for this SLR component item.

Response (Days): The minimum level of time deemed acceptable (in Days) before a response is received for this SLR component item.

Response (Units): The minimum level acceptable, measured in a unit other than time (e.g. the number of quotations produced by the Sales team), for responding to this SLR component item.

Response (Unit Type): The unit type description if the minimum level of response deemed acceptable is measured in a unit other than time e.g. Quotations

Updates (Hours): The duration, measured in hours, between the start and finish of this SLR component item at which regular progress updates are to be communicated.

Updates (Days): The duration, measured in days, between the start and finish of this SLR component item at which regular progress updates are to be communicated.

Updates (Units): The interval, measured in a unit other than time, between the start and finish of this SLR component item at which regular progress updates are to be communicated.

Updates (Unit Type): The unit type description if the minimum level of response deemed acceptable is measured in a unit other than time.

Available days and times

The user should determine for this component item he days of the week (MTWTFSS) and appropriate times for which this service item should be available.

Days: A checkbox which determines this component service item should be available on this particular day.

From: The start time from which this component service item should be available on this particular day.

To: The end time up to which this component service item should be available on this particular day.

COMMAND BUTTONS:

A number of command buttons are available. Some buttons are context sensitive and are greyed-out and only become available dependent upon the particular process that is being accessed. The full list of command buttons is as follows:

Exit: Exits the current form and returns to the SLR Details Options Menu.

Help: Provides online access to a context sensitive Help form.

Create: Enables the creation of an additional record. Mutually exclusive option buttons allow this to be done in one of the two following ways:

Blank: Used if a new record is to be set-up without utilising existing criteria.

Copy: Copies the values within an existing "nearest match" record so that only required values need be edited.

Amend: Provides the facility for editing the set-up options of the current record. No edits can be made to a record until the Amend command button has been selected.

Delete: Deletes the currently selected record.

Confirm: On first accessing the form this command button is greyed-out. Following selection of the Amend button the Confirm option then becomes available to enable any edits to be confirmed.

Cancel: On first accessing the form this command button is greyed-out. Following selection of the Amend command button the Cancel option then becomes available to enable any edits to be cancelled.

Message: This is not a command button. This box is a way of displaying messages with regard to the status of the current record e.g. "Record Secured OK"

Ad-hoc: Selection of this button displays a further form that provides an Ad-hoc Report Generator for the creation of quick query reports to form.

Setup: Selection of this button displays a further form that provides an itemised display of all the selection criteria for the current record.
