Fleet system Parameters (Nominal Control Tab)

Overview

The Nominal Control Tab is used to determine at which level nominal ledger postings are made.

To access the System Parameters Nominal Control Tab:

  1. From the Master Menu, select the Fleet System Management option and Company required.

    The Fleet System Management menu is displayed.

  2. Select the System Maintenance option.

    The System Maintenance menu is displayed.

  3. Select the System Parameters option.

  4. Select the Nominal Control Tab.

The following fields are displayed:

Income Nominal Codes: The [...] button immediately to the right of this field displays a drop-down-list of the current available selection options for Income Nominal codes which are as follows:

Nominal Ledger posting codes are defined purely at a product level without any further distinction at lease definition level.
L Lease Definition
Nominal Ledger posting codes are defined at lease definition level. For example, a 36 month lease definition may post to one set of debit/credit codes, whilst a 12 month lease definition may point to an alternative set of debit/credit codes.

Rental Nominal Codes: The Drop-down button immediately to the right of this field displays a drop-down-list of the current available selection options for Rental Nominal codes which are as follows:

Nominal Ledger posting codes are defined purely at a product level without any further distinction at lease definition level.
L Lease Definition
Nominal Ledger posting codes are defined at lease definition level. For example, a 36 month lease definition may post to one set of debit/credit codes, whilst a 12 month lease definition may point to an alternative set of debit/credit codes.
