The System Parameters set-up screen is aused to define top-level system defaults for the module.
To access finance funding system parameters:
From the Master Menu, select the Finance Funding option and Company required.
The Finance Funding Menu is displayed.
Select the System Maintenance option.
The Systemm Maintenance menu is displayed.
Select the System Parameters option.
The System Parameters form is displayed.
The screen is split into four areas which are as follows:
In addition to displaying the screen name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.
Module Identifier
The Module field displays the specific module code that is currently being accessed e.g. FU (Finance Funding).
Company Identifier
The Company field displays the company number for the company that is currently being accessed e.g. 00. This option may only be edited within Company Zero.
This area is divided into a series of Tabs, each containing a number of default values applicable to a certain area. These Tabs are as follows:
General Tab: Provides access to a number priority function parameters.
Reports Tab: In many parts of the system an administration option is now available within the menu bar and tool bars. Amongst other options the administration facility enables access to a Quick Reports facility. This displays a list of user-defined reports applicable to the current process. Once written within RepGen reports may be selected for inclusion within this menu list within the Reports Tab.
COMMAND BUTTONS:
A number of command buttons are available. Some buttons are context sensitive and are greyed-out and only become available dependent upon the particular process that is being accessed. The full list of command buttons is as follows:
Exit: Exits the System Parameters screen and returns to the System Maintenance menu.
Help: Provides online access to context sensitive help.
Create: Enables the creation of an additional record. Mutually exclusive option buttons allow this to be done in one of the two following ways:
Blank: Used if a new record is to be set-up without utilising existing criteria.
Copy: Copies the values within an existing "nearest match" record so that only required values need be edited.
Amend: Provides the facility for editing the set-up options of the current record. No edits can be made to a record until the Amend button has been selected.
Delete: Deletes the currently selected record.
Save: Saves any amendments made to system parameters and returns to the System Maintenance menu.
Cancel: On first accessing the screen this command button is greyed-out. Following selection of the Amend button the Cancel option then becomes available to enable any edits to a record to be cancelled.
Message: This is not a command button. This box is a way of displaying messages with regard to the status of the current record e.g. "Record Secured OK"
Ad-hoc: Selection of this button displays a further screen that provides an Ad-hoc Report Generator for the creation of quick query reports to screen.
Setup: Selection of this button displays a further screen that provides an itemised display of all the selection criteria for the current record.
