AFILE is a shortening for Application file details, and these files are essential as they contain all the information about the raw data file.
You must complete the following information:
Create
File name
A five-character file name, starting with raw and then the XX where XX is the same at the Topic Code, e.g. rawST.
Description: Description of the content of the file.
Short name: Two-character code for variables (small chars), this is the name that the compiled program will use.
Create file: Does 'Create file' prompt for this file, either set the check box to a tick for Yes or leave blank for No. See System Maintenance.
Company file: Is file company dependant? Either set the check box to a tick for Yes or leave the check box blank for No.
Install file: System, Default, else No - N for all raw files.
Default live size: Default file size in a live system.
Test file size: File size in a test system.
Spare %age on create: How much spare on creation of the file
Warning at usage (%): At what level of usage should the system generate a warning.
Leave the rest of the fields blank.
