Maintaining Mobile Mechanic Parameters

The Mobile mechanic parameters maintains mobile mechanic parameter records as used by the Point of Sale system.

Mobile Mechanic Parameters Form

This form is a standard Grid/Column editor. It is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems > X1. Aftersales Generic Add-ons > Mobile mechanic menu. > Mobile Mechanic Parameters.

POS Company: Enables the selection of a Point of sales company.

Button options:

Button > Exit Returns to the Mobile mechanic menu.
Button > Help Activates this mobile mechanic parameters help guide in a Web browser.
Button > Ad-hoc Displays the Autoline Ad-hoc enquiry function specifically on the mobile mechanic parameter data file.
Button > Grid Converts the maintenance from a column format to a grid style format.
Button > Create Displays a blank record to enable the creation of a mobile mechanic parameter record.
Button > Delete Deletes an existing mobile mechanic parameter record.
Button > Cancel Cancels the creation or amendment of a mobile mechanic parameter.
Button > Save Saves the new mobile mechanic parameter record.
Button > Next Obtains and displays the next mobile mechanic parameter record.
Button > Previous Obtains and displays the previous mobile mechanic parameter record.

View Area:

Reverse: Defines that the data is to be sorted into reverse sequence.

Start at: Defines the data filter starting point.

Finish at: Defines the data filter finish point.

POS Parameters Area:

The fields within the Data Area can be viewed in either Grid or Column format.

Normal time: Defines the RTS code that is used to accumulate normal time clocking's for labour.

Time and Half: Defines the RTS code that is used to accumulate time and half clocking's for labour.

Double time: Defines the RTS code that is used to accumulate double time clocking's for labour.

Travel normal time: Defines the RTS code that is to be used to accumulate travel normal time clocking's for labour.

Travel time and half: Defines the RTS code that is to be used to accumulate time and half travel time clocking's for labour.

Travel double time: Defines the RTS code that is to be used to accumulate travel double time clocking's for labour.

Mileage to/from site: Defines the maximum allowable mileage to/from a site.

Parts collect mileage: Defines that parts collection time clockings are to be logged against standard labour times, if not selected parts collection time clockings will be accumulated separately.

Call-out charge: Defines that a Callout charge optional is to be displayed.

Approval for parts/labour used: Defines that any parts marked as used are to be displayed on the approval sheets pending approval by the customer.

Approval for Consumables used: Defines that an approval is required for consumables.

Pty to change tech: Defines the user priority required to change technician details.

POS department: Defines the Point of Sale department to be used.

Signed in idle code: Defines the clocking code to be used when the technician first logs onto the PDA.

Break idle code: Defines the clocking code to used for technician break idle times.

Use signature capture: When completing a job is it possible to store an image of the customers signature. Selecting this option activates the signature capture function.

Automatic check-in:

Temporary part number: Defines a temporary part number for use when a part number is not known.

BO status for temporary parts:

Temp labour for RTS code:Defines a temporary labour RTS code for use when an RTS code is not known.

Requisition number:

Approval format: Defines the approval sheet format to be used. Approval sheets are printed, faxed or e-mailed from within Point of sale.

SMS Message: Defines the message that will be sent to the technician when assigning a resource to a WIP though Workshop loading.
