Defining Native Franchises

Native franchises allow the Autoline system to define which franchises are native to a particular VSB company. Any franchise not defined in this table is treated as a non native franchise and uses the posting tables set up in the native franchise parameters.

Company: Click on the drop down to select a vehicle stock book company.

Native fran letter: Click on the ellipse to select a franchise.

Native fran desc: This field cannot be amended and will display the franchise description.

Buttons:

Exit: Returns to the Native franchise tables.

Create: Enables you to create a new native franchise table. When the create button has been selected it is then disabled. When you are have finished creating the new franchise table.

Delete: Enables deletion of native franchise tables. You are asked to confirm your input by clicking the second Delete button. If you do not want to delete the native franchise table then use Cancel instead.

Ad-hoc: Starts an adhoc enquiry that enables you to run a report on the native franchise file.

Message

The messages that appear in this box advise you of what you are or are not able to do. Some of the messages that appear here advise you of the status of the native franchise table that you are working with at the time.

Record not found: Appears when you have entered a native franchise table that does not exist in the file.

Error Reported: Appears if you have tried to save a native franchise table with out entering details into field and responded ok to the pop up message.

Record loaded OK: The native franchise table field or selected from the ellipsis search has been loaded successfully.

Record released: Appears if cancel is selected.

Record saved OK: Appears on taking the save option.

Record deleted OK: Appears if you have deleted a native franchise table.

Create not allowed-Record already exists: Appears if you have taken the option to create a record and the contact type code that you type in already exists in the file.
