This is normally set up as a Priority 8 or 9 option. It allows you to stop or start daemon(s) manually and to view a log file of daemon activities. You may need to use the stop/start button if the daemon stops running, or in the event of a library re-start during the day.
When idle for a set period of time, a daemon can purge processed records older than a set number of days. After deleting so many records, it returns to normal processing.
This form enables you to stop or start the daemon(s) and to view or print logs of its, or their, activities.
Current time: The time of day or night
(Current Status): Current status of the daemon: Running or Stopped. After starting the daemon, the status should be 'Running'.
PUSH BUTTONS:
Start/Stop daemon: Starts and stops a daemon. Nothing is processed until daemons are running. If daemons stop running, information is not transferred.
View Log: Displays daemon activity log files for seven days, Monday to Sunday. Daemon logs record errors, responses, and so on, which can be printed.
Foreground: Displays error messages and panic numbers if daemons do not start. Take careful note of any panic number before contacting Support.
