GVA Definition Editor

This form is displayed when you select the Parameters option from the Vehicle Order Acknowledgements Menu. It facilitates the display, update, creation, and deletion of generic vehicle acknowledgement type records.

Warning: The contents of the GVA definition parameters record are provided as standard data and should not be modified.

GVA type: Generic vehicle acknowledgements type

Clone: A tick indicates that the content of the displayed record is copied (cloned) when you click the Create button, rather than the fields of the new record being blank

About this import:

Description: Summarises the function of the GVA type. For example, 00 overnight status updates.

Comments: Additional information about the GVA interface

File details:

Import directory: GVA folder path

Import filename: Operating system's identifier for the GVA file. For example, 00.vstatus.03.07.04.00

Transfer type: GFT type for the GVA transfer

Ascii/Csv/Edi.: GVA format. One of:

History:

Last run date: When the GVA type was last run, the userID of the individual who ran it, the number of GVA type instances, and the last dealer to run the GVA type

Note: This is updated on each acknowledgement file import.

PUSH BUTTONS:

Exit: Returns you to the Vehicle Order Acknowledgements Menu

Amend: Redisplays the form containing the same record, but with its contents editable

Delete: Displays a Confirm input dialog box, enabling deletion of the displayed record

Create: Redisplays the form containing a new record with its contents editable

Tip: To save time creating a new record, display an existing record and, with the Clone check box ticked, click Create. The displayed record's contents are copied to the edit form's fields, ready for editing. Otherwise, with the Clone check box unticked when you click Create, the fields are blank.

Save: Stores the updated or newly created record

Cancel: Abandons the update or creation of a record

Note: The Save and Cancel buttons are active only when amending or creating a record, in which case the Exit, Amend, Delete, and Create buttons are greyed out.
