Discount Codes Reporting

Note: This help system contains standard information only. Click the Help button on the relevant form or menu to display any manufacturer-specific help. Alternatively, a help file may exist in the Table of Contents specific to your manufacturer.

The Discount codes reporting option enables you to analyse the discount codes in the price file that are not found in the Point-of-Sale (POS) discount map.

In order to identify which stock companies and franchises to include in the report, the system looks at the Price file code on the Details tab of the Stock Management (SM) franchise table, and selects any records that contain the two-character identifier normally used by the franchise.

To report on discount codes in the price file not found on the POS discount map:

  1. From the OPERATIONS menu, select the Parts price file menu option.

The MASTER PARTS PRICE FILE MENU is displayed.

  2. Select the Discount codes reporting option.

The Price file discount codes reporting form is displayed.

  3. Click the Analyse button.

A progress of the analysis is displayed, and the Discount codes missing from POS discount map grid is populated with any unmapped records. On completion, the following message is displayed:

    Analysis complete

  4. Click OK.

  5. You must enter any unmapped codes on the Codes tab of the discount map for the respective discount groups in each company.
