The WIP attachment manager enables documents to be viewed or renamed, or attached to or deleted from the WIP. They can also be attached to the CRM Vehicle depending on your system setup. The documents attached to the Wip are cleared when the Wip is consolidated (this applies to the files attached to the Wip only). Documents attached to the vehicle record remain indefinitely.
Note: Before you use this program, you must ensure that the Autoline system is correctly set up. This is normally done by, or on advice from, an Autoline consultant.

This dialogue box is displayed when you right-click the Wip Attachment Manager form then select the Upload New option. Depending on the setup and whether or not a CRM vehicle record is applied to the Wip, the system enables you to attach a document to the Wip or to both CRM and Wip.
Buttons:
CRM and WIP: Specifies that the document is to be attached to both CRM and the WIP.
Clicking CRM and WIP displays the CRM Document Details form to enable the upload of a selected document to the CRM vehicle and to the WIP. Complete the information, including the location of the file, then click Save on the CRM Document Details form. This attaches the document simultaneously to the Wip and to the vehicle record in CRM.
If the CRM process is followed, a copy of the document is saved to the WIP attachments data area. This means that there will be two copies of the document on the server: one stored in Point-of-Sale, which will be purged when the WIP is consolidated, and one in CRM that is controlled by the CRM process and will remain after the WIP has been deleted.
WIP only: Specifies that the document is to be attached only to the WIP. Selecting the WIP only option displays the standard file locator function form and enables the upload of a selected document to the WIP only.
Close: Cancels the Wip attachment management function.
