This form is displayed by selecting the Submit for valuation option from the File menu of the Trade-In Details form, or by clicking the toolbar icon.
Note: The Basic Details and More Details tabs of the Trade-In Details form should be completed before using this facility.
From the Person to value this trade-in field, select the manager to whom you wish to send your request. This should ideally be someone you know to be currently available and able to create a valuation. The Notes field can be used to enter a message to be sent to the person selected. By selecting Submit from the File menu, or clicking the toolbar icon, an email will be sent to their mailbox and a contact created in their CRM diary. A message will be displayed to inform you that the request has been successfully submitted then the system will return to the Available Trade-Ins form where the vehicle will be displayed and marked with the word 'Pending'. You can wait on that form until valuation has been done, then click the Edit button to display the Trade-In Valuations Completed form. Alternatively, you can choose to the continu
e with the quotation while the valuation is being done, then return to the trade-in from the Enquiry Builder. You can store the quotation as "in progress" and even exit from the Showroom module, but until the valuation request is completed it cannot be printed and turned into an order.
If you made a mistake, or wish to send the request to a different person, it is possible to retract a pending request by clicking the Edit button on the Available Trade-Ins form then selecting the Retract valuation request from the File menu of the Trade-In Details form.
Tip: The following are instructions for the manager receiving the request for a valuation: Locate the contact which has been created in your diary on the My Tasks tab of the CRM Desktop, at the time and date that the request was submitted. Right-click and select View contact. In the contact form subsequently displayed, click the
toolbar icon. The Trade-In Details form is displayed with the fields for directly entering valuations on the Basic Details tab, along with the extra tabs for CAP or Glass Valuations and Adjustments. Once the valuation is complete, save it. A message will be displayed to inform you that the request has been successfully completed. The requesting user can now view your valuation.
