The Permissions and Priorities form is displayed when you click SU MANAGEMENT MENU > Permissions & security. This form enables you to restrict user access. User access is determined by priorities 1-9 (1 = minimum, 9 = maximum).
What do you want to do?
TABS
User ID: Enter the ID of the user whose permissions you want to restrict.
Access level
No access: Select the No access radio button and left click the module / company identifier in the grid that you want the User to be restricted from having access to.
Priority level: Select the Priority level radio button and click the
drop down button to select the required priority level. Left click the module/company identifier in the grid to set the priority level.
Clear All: Clears all priority levels from all modules and companies.
Grid
The Grid beneath the User ID field has the two character module identifier and module description on the left hand side of it and the two character company identifier on the top of it.
Tip: Clicking the header column of a company sets permissions for all modules for that company. Similarly, clicking the header column of a module sets permissions for all companies for that module.
Duplicate
Source: Enter the source user ID that you want to duplicate the permissions and priorities for.
Destination: Enter the destination user ID that you want to duplicate the permissions and priorities to.
Duplicate: Duplicates the source user ID permissions and priorities to the destination user ID.
All: Select the All radio button to set the Print criteria to print permissions and priorities for all users.
User ID: Enter a specific User ID to set the print criteria to print the permissions and priorities for that user.
Print: Prints, using the criteria that you have entered, to the currently selected printer.
Desk top
duplicates a desktop setup from one user to another, or to set up a user with a default set of icons (using a blank userid)

Warning: This area of the tab should only be used after consultation with AUTOLINE SUPPORT staff. Do not attempt to amend any of the settings in these fields without consultation.
Buttons:
OK: Saves any amendments you have made and returns to the SU MANAGEMENT MENU.
Cancel: Cancels any amendments you have made and returns to the SU MANAGEMENT MENU.
When you are setting up a number of users who will have the same priority settings or you are making the same changes to a number of user's priorities this duplication function saves you the effort of retyping.
A message is displayed saying: Duplicate settings for ... from ... current desktop, proceed?" OK or Cancel.
A further confirmation message is displayed which says: "WARNING" - "This will overwrite ... current desktop, proceed?" OK or Cancel.
The settings are copied.
When you are setting up a number of users who will have the same desk top settings (Desk top refers to frontpage mode desk top) or you are making the same changes to a number of user's desk tops this duplication function saves you the effort of retyping.
A message is displayed saying: Duplicate desktop for ... from ... current desktop, proceed?" OK or Cancel.
A further confirmation message is displayed which says: "WARNING" - "This will overwrite ... current desktop, proceed?" OK or Cancel.
The desktop is copied.
