The FOCALpt daemon can be started and stopped from the FOCALpt menu. The FOCALpt daemon log contains concise transaction detail and should be used in the first instance. All daemon log entries are prefixed with the time and a user ID. Errors are prefixed with an asterisk. There is also a FOCALpt transaction log with the table name FO.MS.foclg that can provide more information on a specific transaction via ad-hoc or report generator.
