Transfer Specification Item

Overview

Selection of this option enables a specification item to be transferred from one vehicle to another. This option is typically used within a commercial vehicle environment where, for example, snow plough equipment may be transferred from one truck to another. A subsequent form is displayed enabling the specification authorisation history to be transferred also.

Folowing the transfer the details in the Financials Tab are subsequently updated for both vehicle contracts accordingly.

To access the Transfer Specification Item:

  1. From the Master Menu, select the Fleet Kompact option and Company required.

    The Kestrel Kompact Menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Contract Management option.

    The Contract Management form is displayed.

  3. Select the Open icon.

    The Contract Search form is displayed.

  4. Enter the appropriate information to locate the required agreement.

  5. Select the Edit icon.

  6. Select the Purchasing shortcut from the menu on the left of the form.

  7. The contract management Order Tab is displayed.

  8. Select the Specification Tab.

    The Specification Tab is displayed.

  9. Right-click on the required specification item line and select the Transfer Item sub-menu option.

Transfer Specification Item Dialogue Box

The Transfer Specification Item Dialogue Box contains the following fields:

Agreement: Selection of the [...] button allows the vehicle to which the specification item is to be transferred to be selected via the Contract Search form.

Registration: The registration number of the destination vehicle.

Customer: The full customer name followed by the customer code associated with the destination vehicle contract.

Status: The agreement status of the destination vehicle contract.

Vehicle: The full vehicle description of the destination vehicle contract followed by the unique CRM vehicle record number.

Start: The agreement start date of the destination vehicle contract.

Ends: The agreement end date of the destination vehicle contract.

COMMAND BUTTONS:

Back: This option functions in the form of a wizard and this command button takes the user to the previous step within the process.

Next: This option functions in the form of a wizard and this command button takes the user to the next step within the process. In this case, the system Maintenance History form so that some or all of maintenance approval history may be transferred along with the item itself.

Cancel: Exits the process without taking any action.
