Locating Your Printer

This faciility enables you to set up various work stations with a selected printer.

Printer Map Form

The Printer Details form is displayed when you click System Utilities > MANAGEMENT MENU > Printer map.

Printer code: The code of the selected printer.

Printer mode: Use the DropDown drop down to select a printer mode. This can be one of the following:

POS doc printer No: The Printer number for POS document sequencing.

Description: The description of the selected printer.

Form-feed before: This check box is set to a tick in order to feed a new page or form through the printer prior to printing.

Form-feed after: This check box is set to a tick in order to feed a new page or form through the printer after printing.

Lines per page: The number of lines per print page.

Compatibility mode: Use the DropDown drop down to select a compatibility mode. This can be one of the following:

Access priority: The user priority level required to use the selected printer.

Colour printer: This check box is set to a tick if the selected printer is a colour printer.

Line feed: This check box is set to a tick if the selected printer has hardware line feed.

UNIX device: The Unix device command.

Mini parameters: Used with the $device command, or left blank.

Printer driver: The key to the printer driver file.

Available location: The up to five locations where the selected printer is available.

Buttons:

Exit: Returns you to the Master or Module menu that you are in.

Ad-hoc: Click the Ad-hoc button to construct queries and display or print the result. You can save a query for future use.
