The MA ANALYSIS SUB-FIELDS menu is displayed when you select the Analysis sub-fields option from the MA System Maintenance menu. This menu controls certain routine maintenance functions which are set at a lower level of system security than the System Maintenance functions, but which do not constitute daily operational functions. Many of these options should only concern the systems supervisor.
Many of these options affect the operation of other parts of the system; for example the stock records, purchasing criteria and the Point-of-Sale system.
Warning: Unless the significance of these options is clearly understood, do not make any changes without assistance.
Cost centre levels: The cost centre level descriptions are entered and maintained using this option.
Expense code levels: The expense code level descriptions are entered and maintained using this option.
Drill-down visibility: The Drill-down visibility option provides a means of security. This prevents users from accessing information outside of their domain.
Verify management accounts: This option should be run on a regular basis to check the integrity of the Management Accounts files.
Create records from NL: When initially setting up your Management Accounts system, this option can be used to automatically create a 'chart of accounts' by copying over cost centres and expense codes from the Nominal Ledger.
Adjust MA budgets/actuals: This option provides a set of flexible budget management features.
Budget types: This option is used for the creation and on going maintenance of the budget types you wish to hold.
Profiles: This option is used for setting up profiles defined by variations in sales patterns.
Input formats: This option allows you to flexibly define the input screens used by the 'Edit MA budgets/actuals' by allowing you to define as many different formats as you require.
