File Transfer Creation Wizard: API Copy

The API transfer method sends data in chunks or packets. On most systems, a chunk size of 2 048 bytes is normal. The default for AIX is 1 024 bytes, but some AIX systems require smaller chunks. This tab enables you to select the API chunk size.

To set API chunk size:

Note: This process continues from selecting the transfer type using the wizard. It applies only when you select API as the Transfer type.

1. Select the Chunk size.

   Tip: Use the drop-down facility to pick a chunk size.

2. Click Next.

   The Direction tab is displayed.

3. Continue by following the instructions for specifying the transfer direction.

API Copy Tab

This tab is not user-selectable. It is one of a series displayed, each in turn, on the File Transfer Creation Wizard.
