VEGA Dealer Code Parameters

The VEGA Dealer Code Parameters form is used to set-up multiple Warranty Dealer codes for one Point of Sale company and linked them to the required VEGA parameter record.

VEGA Dealer Code Parameters form

This form is displayed if you click on Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu-Utilities > Mercedes-Benz-Parameters and select the option Service > VEGA dealer code parameters > [no. Company name] > [Warranty dealer code] in the Project parameters. It maintains the dealer code parameters per warranty dealer code.

Fields:

Warranty dealer code: Enter the official Daimler Warranty Dealer code.

POS company VEGA-Retail parameters: Select the VEGA Retail parameters’ POS company that are valid for this Warranty Dealer code.

Note: A VEGA Retail parameter can only be linked to one Warranty Dealer code.

Dealer code selection: Select the VEGA Dealer code validation type.

[Vehicle type / Baumuster family / Vehicle franchise / Baumust type code]: The naming of this field is dependend on the Dealer code selection chosen.

Baumuster code range From: If Baumuster range is selected as Dealer code selection, enter the Baumuster from range.

Baumuster code range To: If Baumuster range is selected as Dealer code selection, enter the Baumuster to range.

Select up to 10 Sales Ledger accounts valid for this dealer code and link them to a Warranty type Grid:

Tip: It is also possible to assign the Warranty type to the account selected. The Sales Ledger account is the leading option.

SL account: If Sales Ledger Account is selected as Dealer code selection, select up to 10 sales ledger accounts.

Warranty type: Enter a warranty type to assign to the selected sales ledger account.

Adding a Warranty Dealer Code

Before you can setup the parameters for VEGA dealer codes, you need to create the warranty dealer codes per company.

To add a new warranty dealer code:

  1. Click the New element or the NewProgram.gif icon.

    The VEGA Dealer Code Parameters form is displayed.

  2. Click the Amend toolbar button tbOptions.gif or click the Edit > Amend menu bar command, enter the new Warranty dealer code and complete the parameters fields concerning this record.

  3. Click the Save toolbar button Save.gif or click the Edit > Save menu bar command, to save your changes.

    Your VEGA dealer code parameters are represented as a parameter element in the browser, with the Warranty dealer code appended.

Amending a Warranty Dealer Code

You amend the warranty dealer code if you need to change the VEGA delaer code parameters for some reason.

To amend a warranty dealer code:

  1. Click the Warranty dealer code element that represents the settings you want to change.

    The VEGA Dealer Code Parameters form is displayed for the warranty dealer code you selected.

  2. Click the Amend toolbar button tbOptions.gif or click the Edit > Amend menu bar command and make the changes.

  3. Click the Save toolbar button Save.gif or click the Edit > Save menu bar command, to save your changes.

Deleting a Warranty Dealer Code

If it is necessary to delete a warranty dealer code, proceed as follows.

To delete a warranty dealer code:

  1. Click the Warranty dealer code element that represents the VEGA dealer code parameters you want to delete.

    The VEGA Dealer Code Parameters form is displayed.

  2. Click the Amend toolbar button tbOptions.gif or click the Edit > Amend menu bar command.

    The Delete toolbar button is available.

  3. Click the Delete toolbar button Cross.gif or click the Edit > Delete menu bar command.

    You are prompted to confirm deletion.

  4. Click Yes to delete the settings.

    The record is deleted and the parameter element is removed from the browser.
