Before using the Retail Interface, you need to set up the Import parameters.
The Import parameters option enables a user to set what CRM records fields are automatically updated during the processing of import files. These parameters are set up for existing CRM records. You can also choose to automatically create new records per CRM record type.
You must do the setup for every Marketing company in Autoline.
To access the Import parameters:
Select from the Main menu the Manufacturer System option, combined with company MB.
The Mercedes-Benz Main Menu is displayed.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Main Menu, the Menu - Marketing option.
The Mercedes-Benz Marketing menu is displayed.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Marketing menu the Menu - Retail Interface option.
The Menu - Retail Interface menu is displayed.
Select from the Menu - Retail Interface menu the Import parameters option.
The Retail Interface - Import parameters form is displayed.
Fields
Marketing company: The Update and New tab display the settings of the selected Marketing company.
The list on the Update tab displays Company, Customer and Vehicle record types that contain various fields. The contents of list can differ depending on which Company was chosen.
Ticking a specific field with Left-Click in the Auto update column ensures that a CRM record is automatically updated during the processing of an import file. Thus, the values of a record in the CRM module are updated with the values of the import file. Records that contain changes in fields for which the Auto update is not ticked are withheld for manual processing after import.
To tick all the fields at ones for one Record type, do a Left-Click in the grey highlighted row of the Auto update column.
The list on the New tab displays Company, Customer and Vehicle record types for which you have to indicate whether a new record is automatically created or withheld for manual processing after import. The contents of list can differ depending on which Company was chosen.
Ticking a specific field with Left-Click in the Auto create column ensures that new CRM record are automatically created in the CRM module during the processing of an import file. If the Auto create is not ticked the new records are withheld for manual processing after import.
