Online detection (Fuzzy!Double)

Fuzzy!Double is an external software package. Fuzzy!Double makes it possible to search in the CRM file for equivalent records based upon error tolerances. Thus, using the user defined match percentages and the Fuzzy!Double parameters, the duplicates are searched.

Fuzzy!Double identifies potential duplicates when using the DQ Sensor or the Deduplication utility of Autoline. Furthermore, Fuzzy!Double is used for online detection when adding or updating a CRM record.

If Fuzzy!Double active is selected, as well as the Fuzzy double online parameter, Autoline checks for duplicates each time a company or customer is added or updated.

Note: You have to run the DQ Sensor - Calculation program before you can use the online detection of Fuzzy!Double.

Updating a record

When you update a customer or company record and press the Save button, just prior to actual saving, a Fuzzy!Double search is performed whether the customer or company already exist.

If duplicates are found for a customer, the records are displayed in the % with the same Customers form.

If duplicates are found for a company, the records are displayed in the % with the same Companies form.

You can set the found customers companies to Identified non-duplicates with a left-click in the field behind the concerned record, this means the found records are not the same and will not be found the next time the customer or company is edited.

Buttons:

Re-Enter: Leaves the program and returns to the CRM form in edit mode.

Continue: Saves the edited data of the company or customer record. If records are selected as Identified non-duplicates it is saved as well.

Help: Displays, in a web browser, a help page describing the form.

Creating new record

When a customer or company is newly created and they are found as a duplicate by Fuzzy!Double, the buttons on the form are slightly different.

Customer Buttons:

Re-Enter: Leaves the program and returns to the CRM form in edit mode.

Use selected customer: Additional button when you are in creation mode.
This button is available, if a customer is selected in the list (displayed in blue).
When you use this button, all newly entered data of the created record is cleared and the selected customer is loaded in edit mode on the CRM form.

Customer not in the list: Additional button when you are in creation mode.
Saves the edited data of the new record. If records in the list are selected as Identified non-duplicates it is saved as well.

Company Buttons:

Re-Enter: Leaves the program and returns to the CRM form in edit mode.

Use selected company: Additional button when you are in creation mode.
This button is available, if a company is selected in the list (displayed in blue).
When you use this button, all newly entered data of the created record is cleared and the selected company is loaded in edit mode on the CRM form.

Company not in the list: Additional button when you are in creation mode.
Saves the edited data of the new record. If records in the list are selected as Identified non-duplicates it is saved as well.
