Troubleshooting

During set up of the system as well as when running the various DQ Sensor programs, you can get messages from Autoline.

View mode only

It is possible that more than one user wants to open the Category Group Maintenance form or the Measurement Category Maintenance form. But only the first user can create new records or make any changes. The following users receive a messages depending on the form they want to open.

When opening the Category Group Maintenance form more than once, you get the message:

The category groups are being edited by another user. You will not be able to make any changes

You can open the form in view mode only, as displayed in the title.

If you are positive that everybody has closed the screen and the record is still locked. Please, ask your system administrator to unlock this form by removing the lock file in ../DQSensor/Settings/CategoryGroups.lck


When opening the Category Group Maintenance form more than once, you get the message:

The measurement categories are being edited by another user. You will not be able to make any changes

You can open the form in view mode only, as displayed in the title.

If you are positive that everybody has closed the screen and the record is still locked. Please, ask your system administrator to unlock this form by removing the lock file in ../DQSensor/Settings/MeasurementCategories.lck

DQ sensor not active

Before DQ Sensor - Calculation is started, the Autoline checks whether Autoline is activated in the parameter settings. If this is not the case the Autoline displays:

The DQ sensor is not active! Please check the parameter settings.

Make sure that you have the right settings in your parameters.

No valid XML file

When you haven't set up the category groups or measurement categories, Autoline will display the following messages.

When opening the Measurement Category Maintenance form, you can get the message:

No category groups found!

You have to set up the category groups first.


If the XML file doesn't exist, you receive the following message when you use the Open button in the Measurement Category Maintenance form:

There are no measurement category settings available.

Use the New button in the Measurement Category Maintenance form to add measurement categories; the XML file is created automatically during the saving of a new category.

Errors of DQ Sensor - Calculation

When DQ Sensor - Calculation is running the data quality is determined and any error is reported.

When opening the DQ Sensor - Calculation form or running Generate list in the Deduplication utility, you can get the messages:

Errors occurred during initialization!

This messages is created during:

Creating temporary workfile...: You have to check if the subdirectory ../DQSensor/ of the systems main directory. In this directory the work file is created.

Loading measurement settings...: You have to set up the measurement categories first.

Generating check routines...: You have to process the Compile selections and Fuzzy rules program successfully by checking this in the Measurement Category Maintenance form.


If errors have occurred when running DQ Sensor - Calculation the following message is displayed.

Errors occurred during calculation. See log file for more details.

The specifics of the error are written in the log file of DQ Sensor - Calculation run.

DQ Sensor - Export file

It is possible that you get the next message when you start the DQ Sensor - Export file program:

E-Mail is not enabled. Summary report and/or error report will not be send via e-mail!

Please notify your system administrator if you want to setup Autoline for sending an email.


Before the DQ Sensor Export Calculation Results form is displayed, the Export DQ results of the DQ Sensor parameters is checked. If the Export DQ results field is not ticked, the following message is displayed:

Export of DQ Sensor results is switched off in parameters!

No export file is created.


When DQ Sensor - Calculation has not run yet or did not have any results, the next message is displayed:

No DQ Sensor results available for export.

No export file is created.


When DQ Sensor - Calculation did not run yet or does not have any results, the next message is displayed:

DQ Sensor export summary report does not exist!

No export file is created.

No valid fzidx.ini

When you have Fuzzy!Double installed, you need to configure the fzidx.ini. These configuration settings are mandatory for Fuzzy!Double use. If the file doesn't exit or has incorrect settings DQ Sensor - Calculation or running Generate list in the Deduplication utility will display the message:

Fuzzy library error. Please check Fuzzy!Double installation.

Please notify your system administrator of Fuzzy!Double.

Note: In case of a Fuzzy!Double installation, it also is possible that the Fuzzy! double Rules of the Measurement categories of Data Uniqueness do not have any values. Please check the Measurement categories of Data Uniqueness.


When you login with a user id that does not have enough permission to run Create export file, the next message is displayed:

Permission denied.

It is now possible to Export-file-to-PC or Quit the run and return to the menu.

Use the OK button to activate the blue highlighted option.

After using the Export-file-to-PC option, the system starts the run of Create export file. The next message is displayed when the run is completed.

DQ Sensor export file(s) created.

Tip: If you are responsible to run the Create export file option, please contact your system administrator to get the right user settings in Autoline.

Fuzzy!Double installation

Your system administrator needs to check the installation of Fuzzy!Double, when next message is displayed:

Unable to open file, MB.MS.fztmp


Your system administrator needs to check the installation of Fuzzy!Double, when next message is displayed:

Undefined Marked Subroutine

Deduplication Utility Tool

If Fuzzy is ticked off in the parameters or no settings are available of the Measurement categories program, no matches are found and no message is displayed.

Online detection (Fuzzy!double)

Prior to the Online detection run the DQ Sensor - Calculation must have run on de Data Uniqueness Measurement category of customers, else the system displays the next message:

The Fuzzy Index for Customers does not exist. Run de DQ Sensor first.


Prior to the Online detection run the DQ Sensor - Calculation must have run on de Data Uniqueness Measurement category of companies, else the system displays the next message:

The Fuzzy Index for Companies does not exist. Run de DQ Sensor first.


When the Fuzzy! Double Rules of Data Uniqueness Measurement category of companies or customers is not setup in the right way the next message is displayed:

There are no measurement category settings available.

Use the New button in the Measurement Category Maintenance form to add measurement categories; the XML file is created automatically during the saving of a new category.

Timed operations

Any error is kept in de EOD (End of Day) logging, in case DQ Sensor - Calculation or DQ Sensor - Export Results is run in timed operations.

To see the EOD logging:

  1. Select from the Main menu the System utilities option, combined with company 00.
  2. Select from the System utilities menu the Timed operations option.
  3. Select from the Timed operations menu the View/print system log file option or the View/print output log file option.
