The Parts Ordering Parameters take care of the stock orders. The parameters are set up per supplier account.
What do you want to do?
This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Utilities > Mercedes-Benz parameters and you browse to Parts > + Parts Ordering Parameters > [no. Company name] > [no. Supplier stock file] on the Project parameters browser. It maintains Parts Ordering Parameters records for the selected supplier account.
Fields
Supplier Stock File: Enter the purchase ledger account number (supplier account) for which the stock order type is created.
Spics II Branch number: Enter the branch number
Spics II Dealer number: Enter the dealer number
Note: For Big Volume and 70-parts return files the Spics II Dealernr has to match with the given Customer Number in SPICS from the file.
Dealer branch per order: Enter the dealer branch, for dealers connected to SPICS it is advisable to enter the Autoline company.
Stock Order type: Select the stock order type. This is determined form country by country, unless you are sending different stock orders to different systems.

Periodic Parts Return type: Select the periodic parts return type.
- S Standard: If you send this to SPICS, use the default.
- G GLC: IMS systems might send theirs to GLC directly.
Default type for S order: Set up for the S order the default type.
Default type for V order: Set up for the V order the default type.
Other default type: Set up for the other orders the default type.
Communication type: Select the communication type used for this supplier.
Reference in Stock Order: Select the type of information that is used in the reference field of the stock order file.
Remarks from purchase order line: The contents of the remarks field on the purchase transaction is exported in the remarks field of the parts order file.
Note: The remarks field in the order file is limited to 8 (order type STD) or 12 (order type ASIA) characters.
WIP number and line number: The contents of the WIP / PO number field is exported in the remarks filed of the parts order file. This means that the WIP number including the line number are exported in case the line is connected to a WIP. The purchase order number is exported in case the line is not connected to a WIP.
Bin location: The BIN location is exported within the remarks field in the parts order file.
WIP number or Bin location: This option is a combination of option 2 and 3. The WIP number and line number are added in the reference field of the stock order file in case the purchase transaction line is connected to a WIP. If the line is not connected to the WIP is the BIN location included.
The above described logic for the Reference in stock order parameter is slightly different for the stock order type STD - Standard for stock orders. This BIN location is always filled in the remarks field of the parts order file for purchase transaction lines of the order type S except when the parameter is set to 4 - WIP number or bin location.
Department, WIP number, Customer name: This option will fill the remarks field on the purchase transaction line with information about the department, WIP number and customer name at the moment that the stock order is generated.
Position 1: Department code
Position 2-7: Wip
Position 8-12: Customer name (the length is depending on the selected stock order type)
Note: The existing remarks field on the purchase transaction line is overwritten with the information as specified above. The a message is shown to the user when selecting this reference type in the parameters.
This reference is only generated in case the purchase transaction line is connected to the WIP. The stock order submission program will load the information at that moment from the WIP and store it in the remarks field on the purchase transaction line. The original contents of the remarks field will be stored in the stock order file in case the purchase transaction line is not connected to a WIP.
The name of the customer stored in the reference field is depending on the name selected when selecting an account or customer record. If the address type field on the WIP header (.so_hd_addtype$) is set to T and the customer magic number (.so_hd_magict) is filled is the surname of the CRM target record used as reference field. The name of the SL account record will be used in any other case.
Account number from the WIP: The remarks field on the purchase transaction line is filled with the account number of the WIP header on the moment of generating the stock order file.
Note: The existing remarks field on the purchase transaction line is overwritten. The user is warned with a message when selecting this reference type in the parameters.

Logisticbus warning message: Select to display message in Submit stockorder program if Logisticbus is activated.
Supplier cost centre: Enter the cost centre used for posting other charges received from confirmation orders.
Other charges expense code: Enter the expense code used for posting other charges received from confirmations orders. The expense code from the corresponding uplift record will be used in case this parameter is left zero.
Non parts invoices expense: Enter the expense code used to post the invoice amounts for invoices and credit notes that do not have parts details.
SPM order splitting: Select to split the stock orders based on the SPM date in the pricefile. Only available if a Stock Order type of SPM is selected.
Note: Activating SPM order splitting will disable the transmission of periodic parts return orders.
Note: The description of the parameter Communication type return orders will be changed to Comm. Type for non SPM orders. The user can choose the communication type which should be used for transmitting the stock orders of the type GLC.
Before you can setup the parameters for stock orders, you need to create supplier accounts per company.
To add a new supplier account:
Click the New element or the icon.
The Parts Ordering Parameters form is displayed.
Click the Amend toolbar button or click the Edit > Amend menu bar command, enter Supplier account and complete the parameters fields concerning this stock file.
Click the Save toolbar button or click the Edit > Save menu bar command, to save your changes.
Your supplier stock file parameters are represented as a parameter element in the browser, with the Supplier account appended.
You amend a supplier account if you need to change the parameters for some reason.
To amend a supplier account:
Click the Supplier account element that represents the settings you want to change.
The Parts Ordering Parameters form is displayed for the Supplier account you selected.
Click the Amend toolbar button or click the Edit > Amend menu bar command and make the changes.
Click the Save toolbar button or click the Edit > Save menu bar command, to save your changes.
If it is necessary to delete a supplier account, proceed as follows.
To delete a supplier account:
Click the Supplier account element that represents the parameters you want to delete.
The Parts Ordering Parameters form is displayed.
Click the Amend toolbar button or click the Edit > Amend menu bar command.
The Delete toolbar button is available.
Click the Delete toolbar button or click the Edit > Delete menu bar command.
You are prompted to confirm deletion.
Click Yes to delete the settings.
The record is deleted and the parameter element is removed from the browser.
