POS One Screen Parameters

The POS One Screen Parameters contain parameters that define the content of the display of customer and vehicle information from within Point of Sale.

POS One Screen Parameters Form

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Utilities > Mercedes-Benz parameters and you browse to Service > POS One Screen Parameters > [no. Company name] on the Project parameters browser. It defines the POS One Screen Parameter actions.

Tabs:

Note: Border and value limits are used to define the minimum / maximum limit of required comparison values (credit, mileage, Tacho, contract). Values equal or below the Border and value limits are displayed in Blue. Values equal or greater than the Border and value limits are displayed in Red.

General and Credit Limit Margin Tab

General parameters:

Activate One data screen in POS development: Activates the One Customer and Vehicle information screen within POS.

Default setting for Overwrite customer details option: Select to indicate that the default is to enable the overwrite of customer name and address details.

Tick to sort WIP’s negative on creation date: Select to define that the Outstanding WIP’s are to be sorted and displayed in creation date sequence.

Show always: Select to display the One Customer and Vehicle information screen always, even if a WIP number has been allocated.

Credit Limits Margin:

Note: The credit limit of the sales ledger account normally is calculated by Autoline. The Border and Limit value parameters enable the activation of colourised credit warning displays.

Border value: Enter the starting border credit limit of the sales ledger account.

Limit value: Enter the ending limit value of the sales ledger account.

Dates Tab

Next service date:

Border value: Enter the starting border next service date. Enter an amount and select the period unit type, for example days, months or years.

Limit value: Enter the ending limited next service date. Enter an amount and select the period unit type, for example days, months or years.

Next MOT date:

Border value: Enter the starting border next MOT date. Enter an amount and select the period unit type, for example days, months or years.

Limit value: Enter the ending limited next MOT date. Enter an amount and select the period unit type, for example days, months or years.

Next Inspection date:

Border value: Enter the starting border next inspection date. Enter an amount and select the period unit type, for example days, months or years.

Limit value: Enter the ending limited next inspection date. Enter an amount and select the period unit type, for example days, months or years.

Next Tacho check date:

Border value: Enter the starting border next Tacho date. Enter an amount and select the period unit type, for example days, months or years.

Limit value: Enter the ending limited next Tacho date. Enter an amount and select the period unit type, for example days, months or years.

Next Tacho recalibrations date:

Border value: Enter the starting border next Tacho recalibration date. Enter an amount and select the period unit type, for example days, months or years.

Limit value: Enter the ending limited next Tacho recalibration date. Enter an amount and select the period unit type, for example days, months or years.

Service Contracts Tab

The Border value and Limit value parameters give the possibility to enter a value at which the Service contract end mileage is displayed in a warning colour.

Service contract end date:

Border value: Enter the starting border service contract period.

Border period: Enter the starting border period unit.

Limit value: Enter the ending service contract period.

Limit period: Enter the limit period unit.

Service contract end milage margin:

The Border value and Limit value parameters give the possibility to enter a value at which the Service contract end mileage is displayed in a warning colour.

Border value: Enter the starting border value for calculating the contract end mileage.

Limit value: Enter the ending value for calculating the contract end mileage.

Example Tab

Credit limit example

Credit Limit: 750 (Sales Ledger account):

Border value parameter: 1.000 (General and Credit Limit margin tab > Border value).

Limit value parameter: 500 (General and Credit Limit margin tab > Limit value).

If the credit limit on the sales ledger account is less than or equal to he value set in the Border value parameter, the Credit amount is displayed in Cyan.

If the credit limit on the sales ledger account is less than or equal to he value set in the Limit value parameter, the Credit amount is displayed in Red.

Otherwise the Credit limit field is displayed in Black.

Dates example

Next service date: 07/05/2010 (CRM vehicle service details).

Border value parameter: 2 months (Dates tab > Next Service dates).

Limit value parameter: 10 Days (Dates tab > Next Service dates).

If todays date is 07/03/2010 or higher, the service date is displayed in Cyan.

If todays date is 28/04/2010 or higher, the service date is displayed in Red.

Otherwise the service date field is displayed in Black.

Note: Similar criteria and selection processes apply to MOT, Inspection, Tacho check and Tacho recalibration dates.
