The Price file parameters are used to upload the Mercedes-Benz Pricefile into Autoline.

Price File Form

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer-specific > MB. Mercedes-Benz > Menu - Utilities > Mercedes-Benz parameters and you browse to + System parameters > + Price File parameters > MB. Mercedes-Benz on the Project parameters browser. The Price file parameters are used to upload the Mercedes-Benz Pricefile into Autoline.

Tabs:

Standard Pricefile Tab

UPLOAD PRICEFILE FORMAT: Select the format of the pricefile.

Note: Because the language codes delivered in the XML price files aren't ISO codes, a mapping table is added to the Language descriptions tab. It is important that you make sure you have the right settings on this tab.

Full name of the pricefile to upload: The specified file name and path are uploaded in Autoline. The file is received from the factory. You can use wildcards in the filename.

Tip: A filename mask is added to the Full name of the price file to upload parameter. Thus you can use the two wildcards * and ? in the filename of the price file. Using the * in the filename parameter results in all files that match the first part of the parameter are displayed. When uploading the master price file. You can use the question mark to set a wildcard for one character.

Generate exchange parts and/or prices: Select to generate the exchange parts during the upload of the price file.

Initialise MB supersession file before import: Select to initialise the MB supersession file before importing a SPDI XML pricefile.

Import supersessions from SPDI xml price file: Select to import supersessions from SPDI XML pricefile.

Note: If Upload pricefile format "X - SPDI xml" has been selected, the Initialise MB supersession file before import and Import supersessions from SPDI xml price file will become un-selected and Initialise MB supersession file before import will be disabled. The reason why Initialise MB supersession file before import is disabled is that the content of the xml will determine if a full supersession import or an update is to be performed. In case of a full supersession import the file will be initialized automatically.
Once Import supersessions from SPDI xml price file has been selected, the Initialise MB supersession file before import becomes available again.

Description language to be considered as: Select the first language in which the price file is delivered.

SPICS-pricefile 2nd and 3rd language: Select the second and third language in which the price file is delivered.

Note: Only applicable when the UPLOAD PRICEFILE FORMAT parameter is set to P - Europe standard.
Please pay attention to the order of the set languages.

Default currency-codes in pricefile: Used when there is no currency in the price file. In case a Vendor List Price VLP price is available set up the default currency code for the price as well.

Decimals in retailprice: Are set in the price file. Set up the parameter for the VLP price if available.

Multiply retailprice by: The parts sales price is multiplied with this factor.

Deletion days price history: Enter the number of days a price file history record is saved. If the parameter is set to zero, the history records aren’t purged.

SPM vendor code conversion: Select to prevent the creation of duplicate price file records in the Mercedes-Benz price file.

REACH region code: Enter the region code (1 - 10) which should be used for the REACH flag. It will be considered when uploading a price file. To disables the functionality enter 0 (zero).

The current REACH region values are:

Defaults:

Default leading franchise stock-company: Used as default for the part pack routine in Stock Management.

Default vendor-code: Used by default.

Local List Price File:

Discount code filter: Start the Maintaining the Standard MB Tables program to maintain table LLP_DISC. This table contains discount codes to filter parts from the LLP File.

IMS-Pricefile Tab

When an Asian system is implemented as an importer system the price file situation differs from the dealer system, therefore you must complete the parameters on the IMS-Pricefile tab and Language Descriptions tab.

IMS system: Select only if you are using an (Asian) importer system as it activates the IMS parts interfaces.

Note: The map data at the hard disk of a navigation system is copy right protected with a 6-digit PIN number. The PIN number is part of a license and the purchase of the PIN number leads to settlement of license costs. The navigation pin codes functionality is standard included when selecting the IMS system parameter.

Central pricing system: Select to activate the central pricing system and local list price maintenance. It makes the import of local list price files and the use of the pricing user possible.

Note: The Central pricing system field is available for selection when the IMS system field is selected. It is possible to activate central pricing via the environment setting MB_CENTRAL_PRICING, in this case the Central pricing system field is selected but unavailable for change.

Pricing user: Select the user ID that is allowed to change the retail price, vendor lis price, the discount code in the stock, the local list price indicator, and price file for parts with a local selling price.

Selling price check: Select to check the selling price against the cost price.

Note: This parameter works in conjunction with the POS parameter Sell lines below cost and checks if the user has sufficient priority to sell below cost price. It then displays the Price column cell in Point-of-Sale in red color if the lines contain a parts selling price below cost price and set the lines on hold for extra clarification.

Language Descriptions Tab

The Language Descriptions tab has two purposes:

  1. The importer can maintain the price file, in more languages than are set up in Autoline. You can manually maintain these languages in the price file.

  2. You can link the languages in the XML price files to the ISO code languages of Autoline.

Non-system languages for pricefile desc: The grayed-out languages are standard set up in the Autoline system. You can enter extra price file languages in the remaining fields by selecting the XML price file language type.

Dynamic language slot LLP pricefile: Enter the autoline language slot required to map the dynamic description field BEN from the local list price (LLP) of the XML price file.

Full name of the CSV-file upload lang: Enter the file and location of the Comma Separated Values (CSV) file that contains the other languages.
