System Print/Mail Options

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer-specific > MB. Mercedes-Benz > Menu - Utilities > Mercedes-Benz parameters and you browse to + System parameters > + System print/mail options > MB. Mercedes-Benz on the Project parameters browser.

Fields:

Email redirect server: Enter the IP address or host name of the print manager server that should be used to email documents. The print manager server will forward the mail request to this redirecting print manager server.

Queue: Enter the name of the queue on the redirected print manager server that should be used to generate the email.

Fax redirect server: Enter the IP address or host name of the print manager server that should be used to fax documents. The print manager server will forward the fax request to this redirecting print manager server.

Queue: Enter the name of the queue on the redirected print manager server that should be used to generate the fax.

Note: Redirect parameters are only applicable for print manager servers with version 1.10.3061.16035 or higher.


Enable PM PDF view: Use print manager PDF viewer. If it is installed, the options available are:

Note: The PDF viewer is currently only applicable for the documents which are viewed using the Mercedes-Benz specific functionality. Documents viewed using the core system print preview functionality (i.e. document archive) might still use the Print manager form viewer to view the documents.

Send email as copy document: Select to always send documents as a copy document when sending them via email. (Only available for PM server version 1.10.17315 or higher)

Send fax as copy document: Select to always send documents as a copy document when sending them via fax. (Only available for PM server version 1.10.17315 or higher)

Use Outlook integration: Select to use the Autoline Outlook integration.

Tip: MS Outlook Trust Center settings might need to be changed to prevent popup windows.

Note: Mails composed using MS Outlook are not available in contact history as it is not stored in the Autoline system.

Select mail signature: Select signature for outlook integration. Options available are:

Email archiving printer: Enter the printer name used to archive the documents that are sent using the email only option.


MS Outlook Trust Center Settings

To prevent the continuous popup windows requesting access in Outlook, you can change the setting:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook application.

  2. Select File > Options > Trust Center from the toolbar.

  3. Click Trust Center Settings button.

  4. Select Programmatic Access option on the left-side.

  5. Select setting Never warn me about suspicious activity.

    This option is not recommended, but required if you do not want the continuous popup windows.

Note: If Outlook is not available or the access to Outlook is denied the "Outlook encountered a problem. Your request will not be processed" error message is displayed.
