Table Entry Detail Form

The Table Entry Detail form is displayed when a record in the grid on the Maintain Tables form is added or edited. When add is selected, Table name cannot be changed, but Code and Description can. When Edit is selected, only Description can be changed.

The Table Entry Detail form is displayed when a record in the grid on the Maintain Tables form is added or maintained.

Fields:

Table name: Displays the name of table that contains MB records.

Code: Enter the record code type.

Language: Select the language concerned.

Description: Enter the description of the code. User-definable.

Buttons:

Ok: Saves the information you have entered into any of the fields.

Exit: Returns you to the Maintain Tables Form.

Help: Displays this help topic in a web browser.

Adding a Record to a Table

You can add new records to individual MB tables.

To add a record to a MB table:

Note: When you add a record, the Table name field cannot be changed. This is selected in the UVS-In table content form.

  1. Click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Sales > Menu - UVS-In > Standard MB table, or Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Utilities > Default tables.

    The Maintain Tables form is displayed.

  2. Do one of the following:

    1. Select an existing table name from the Table name field.
    2. Click the Add table button, enter the new table name and click OK.

    The grid is populated with any existing records. If the table is new, the grid will not display any records.

  3. Right-click anywhere on the grid and click Add.

    The Table entry detail form is displayed.

  4. Enter the Code and Description fields and click OK.

    The Maintain Tables is displayed with the new record in the grid.

    Warning: Any new records are automatically saved when you click OK on the Table entry detail form. Ensure the information you capture is correct before exiting the system.

Editing a Record Description

You can edit existing records descriptions.

Note: Only the Description can be changed on existing records.

To edit an existing record:

  1. Click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Sales > Menu - UVS-In > Standard MB table, or Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Utilities > Default tables.

    The Maintain Tables form is displayed.

  2. Select an existing table name from the Table name field.

    The grid is populated with any existing records.

  3. Right-click anywhere on the grid and click Edit.

    The Table entry detail form is displayed.

  4. Edit the Description field and click OK.

    The Maintain Tables is displayed with the edited record in the grid.

    Warning: Any edited records are automatically saved when you click OK on the Table entry detail form. Ensure the information you capture is correct before exiting the system.
