Evaluating Repeat Repairs

This function enables the data collection and reporting analysis of Point-of-sale WIPs identified as being Repeat Repairs to vehicles.

Note: The defaulted Repeat Repair Evaluation data is extracted based upon a selection of all Point-of sale company's, Operators, Repeat Repair reasons, Timeline, Vehicle and Mechanic. The extracted information can be redefined by entering the required selection criteria.

To prepare an evaluation:

Select a Selection criteria from the list within the Selection tab and click the Add selection button.

Displays the Selection Specifications form.
Do one of the following (a, b or c):
1. For the selection types Point of Sale company, Operator, Repeat Repair Reason or Mechanic do the following:
  1. Click the Select column for the gridline(s) required.
    
    The gridline(s) is (are) selected for use.
    
    Tip: You can click the Select column header to select all gridline(s) required.
  2. Click the Selection > Add menu bar command or the Add toolbar button.
    
    Returns you to the Repeat Repair Reporting form and populates the selection in the Selected criteria grid.
2. For the selection type Timeline do the following:
  1. Select the From date and To date, and click the Selection > Add menu bar command or the Add toolbar button.
    
    Returns you to the Repeat Repair Reporting form and populates the selection in the Selected criteria grid.
3. For the selection type Vehicle do the following:
  1. Complete the fields required, and click the Selection > Add menu bar command or the Add toolbar button.
    
    Returns you to the Repeat Repair Reporting form and populates the selection in the Selected criteria grid.
Tip: You can repeat step 1 and 2 to add several selection types.
Select the Printer required, and click the Report > Run menu bar command or Run toolbar button.

The evaluation report is created, and the Results, Graph, Graph2 and Graph3 tabs become available.

Note: It is also possible to print or preview the evaluation report.

Repeat Repair Reporting Form

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Service > Menu - Repeat Repairs > Repeat repair evaluation.

Menu Bar and Toolbar:

Menu bar	Toolbar	Action
File > Exit		Returns you to the Menu - Repeat Repairs menu.

Selection criteria > Clear		Resets the entered selection criteria.

Report > Run		Starts the evaluation analysis report data extraction, upon completion the Results, Graph, Graph2 and Graph3 tabs become available.
Report > Print		Prints the evaluation analysis report.
Report > Print preview		Preview the evaluation analysis report (only available if Kprint forms viewer is installed).
Report > Export		Export the evaluation data into a spreadsheet.

Tools > Parameters		Determine the CSV separator parameters.

Help > Help		Displays this help topic in a web browser.
Help > Help about	—	Displays version and copyright information.

Note: The Results, Graph, Graph2 and Graph3 tabs only become available after the Run toolbar button has been selected.

Selection Tab

This tab allows the entry of selection criteria.

Fields:

Selection criteria: Select a selection type from the list.

1: Point of Sale company

2: Operator

3: Repeat Repair Reason

4: Timeline

5: Vehicle

6: Mechanic

Select printer: Enter the printer to be used for printing the evaluation report.

Selected Criteria Grid:

Code: Displays the unique id of the selection criteria.

Description: Displays the description of the selection criteria.

Selection: Displays the list of the added selection criteria.

Tick: Indicates that this selection is added to the selection criteria.

Selected Criteria Grid Shortcut Menu:

Edit: Opens the Selection Specifications form for the selected line to make the necessary changes.
Delete: Deletes the selected line and refreshes the grid.

Buttons:

Add selection : Opens the Selection Specifications form.

Results Tab

This tab displays the extracted evaluation information with vehicle type and month based totals.

Fields

Company: Displays the wip transaction point-of-sale company.

Operator: Displays the operator code associated with the point-of-sale wip.

Reason: Displays the code and description of the repeat repair reason linked to the point-of-sale wip.

Month: Displays the month and year that the point-of-sale wip was created

Vehicle: Display the vehicle type (PC = Passenger Car, CV = Commercial Vehicle)

Qty Wip: Display of the original point-of-sale wip quantity.

Qty RR: Display of the repeat repair point-of-sale wip quantity.

% RR: Display of the percentage repeat repair.

Qty 2nd: Display of the repeat repair point-of-sale wip quantity of the second visit.

% 2nd: Display of the percentage of second visits.

%RR of 2nd: Display of the percentage repeat repair of the second visit.

Tip: Click the Company, Operator, Reason or Month column header to sort the displayed evaluation information into ascending or descending order.

Graph Tab

This tab displays the Percentage repeat repairs per month extracted evaluation results in a graph format.

Option buttons:

Bar 3D: Display the extracted evaluation data in a 3 dimensional Bar chart format.
Bar: Display the extracted evaluation data in a 2 dimensional Bar chart format.
Pie 3D: Display the extracted evaluation data in a 3 dimensional Pie chart format (This is the default graph format).
Pie: Display the extracted evaluation data in a 2 dimensional Pie chart format.

Graph2 Tab

This tab displays the Percentage 2^nd visits per month extracted evaluation results in a graph format.

Option buttons:

Bar 3D: Display the extracted evaluation data in a 3 dimensional Bar chart format.
Bar: Display the extracted evaluation data in a 2 dimensional Bar chart format.
Pie 3D: Display the extracted evaluation data in a 3 dimensional Pie chart format (This is the default graph format).
Pie: Display the extracted evaluation data in a 2 dimensional Pie chart format.

Graph3 Tab

This tab displays the Percentage repeated repairs of 2^nd visits per month extracted evaluation results in a graph format.

Selection Specifications Form

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Service > Menu - Repeat Repairs > Repeat repair evaluation to display the Repeat Repair Reporting form, select a Selection criteria from the list within the Selection tab and click the Add selection button.

Menu Bar and Toolbar:

Menu bar	Toolbar	Action
File > Exit		Returns you to the Repeat Repair Evaluation form.

Selection > Add		Determines the addition selection criteria to be added.

Depending on the selection type this form has a different display.

Grid for the selection types Point of Sale company, Operator, Repeat Repair Reason, or Mechanic:

Selection code: Determines the selection type.

Name / Description: Description of the selection type.

Select: Determines that the selection is required to be added to the selection criteria.

Fields for the selection type Timeline:

From date: Select the beginning month and year to be included in the selection.

To date: Select the ending month and year to be included in the selection.

Fields for the selection type Vehicle:

Passenger cars: Select to include passenger cars.

Commercial vehicles: Select to include commercial vehicles.

From Vin: Enter the starting range Vin number to filter the vehicles.

To Vin: Enter the ending range Vin number to filter the vehicles.

Parameters Form

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Service > Menu - Repeat Repairs > Repeat repair evaluation to display the Repeat Repair Reporting form and click the Tools > Parameters menu bar command or Parameters toolbar button.

Field:

Separator in CSV file: Determines the data field separator to be used when crating the export spreadsheet file.

Buttons:

OK: Accepts the new or changed CSV separator.

Cancel: Cancels the maintenance of the CSV separator.
