


Work Details Form
This form is one of the options that can be selected when the Use predefined template tick box is selected on the New form attributes form. It has been designed in such a way that full point of sale functionality is available while retaining the look and feel of the script forms. There are three areas of this form which need to be considered.
The user definable fields are all available at the top of the form this area allows you to add fields which are useful to the function of the script. They can be changed using normal form editing processes.
This area appears in the centre of the form and is split into three tabs, each of which are part of the service booking process.
Note: This area of the form should not be amended as changes may affect the functionality and ability to use Service Point of Sale correctly.
The tabs available are:-
This tab enables you to add lines to a WIP for work the customer has requested. You can view work which has been added from on of the other available tabs.
FIELDS:
- Menu pricing: Menu pricing field enables you to select the menu pricing you want to use for this WIP. After you open the form the default is menu pricing relating to the franchise of the current vehicle. Alternative menu pricing can be selected from the drop down.
- Labour codes/menus: An editable field. Agents are able to enter the labour codes, if known, or enter text to search for the required work line. Where known, the labour code for work can be typed in. After the tab key is pressed the system will open the POS labour details form.
- Part/price file number: An editable field that enables a search for parts codes that an agent may need to add. Parts can be added either by entering the part number or performing a search
- Order number: An editable field that enables entry of a customer order number
- Other options: These are options that depend on the priority of the user. discount manager allows agents to apply a discount to the work, while negotiate allows final price negotiations.
Note: The Other options drop down will only be available to those user who are set up as advanced POS user in CM users.
- VAT: A read only field that displays the VAT total for the order.
- Order total A read only field that shows the total value of the lines added to the WIP including VAT.
Note: Care should be taken if manually checking the value of a WIP because VAT added to each line could vary according to the VAT code stored against the items in Point of sale
GRID:
This grid displays the details of work items added to the WIP. The columns on this grid are:-
- Product: Product code for the item. It could be a labour code, part number or menu code.
- Description: Description of the item.
- Quantity: Number of the item added to the WIP.
- Price: Cost of the item.
- Discount: Percentage discount applied to the WIP item
- Total: Total cost excluding VAT
- Status: Status of the WIP line (this can be amended)
Tip: Individual lines can be amended using a single right click action on a grid item. However care should be taken when amending WIP lines. Additional training may be required for this.
The possible up sells and favourites tabs will only be available if there are up sells relating to the vehicle loaded created in Point Of Sale. The available options and which tab they appear depends on how the upsells are created in POSE.
GRID:
- Menu or labour code: Point of sale code used to identify the work item.
- Description: Description of the work.
- Information: Additional information is available about the up sell. This is viewed by clicking
the information icon. On doing this the up sell information form is displayed. click OK to close the form.
- Price: The cost of the option excluding VAT
- Add to order? Enables you to select the lines you want to add to the WIP. Click on the item to enter a tick in the row, clicking again removes the tick. After all the options have been selected the "add to order" button should be clicked to load the lines on to the WIP.
These are items that have been deferred from previous visits to the dealership. This information is stored in the MKS.remin file when a PoS WIP line is set to N status.
GRID:
- Labour code: point of sale code used to identify the work.
- Description: the description of the work.
- Created: when the reminder was created.
- Add to order? This column enables you to select the lines you want to add to the WIP. Lines can be selected by clicking the "add to order" line which corresponds to the option you want to add to the WIP. Once all the options have been selected the "add to order button" should be clicked to load the lines on to the WIP.
There are four function buttons on the form. they are essential for script flow and predefined functions connected with the creation of the WIP and should not be changed or removed. There are also five available buttons that allow you to add functionality to the form. The user definable buttons are added during the script definition process.
The standard buttons are:
- Cancel Cancels the call process and progresses the call to the Call completion form.
- Previous Moves you back one form to the previous script form.
- Next Moves you forward in the script to the next script form.
- Add to order Adds the selected work items to the WIP.
