Warning: Prior to creating your option, ensure that you have selected the correct franchise, model or variant.
To create an option within Build specification:
There are two ways that you can create an option.
1. From the build specification menu select your vehicle, by clicking on the + signs on the left hand side of the build specification form.
Right click on specification grid, this should display the following options:
Edit this option.
Create notes.
New option at this level.
Delete option.
Select New option at this level.
2. Click on the ,
select Option from the shortcut menu.
Enter your unique Option code.
Enter the full Description of the option.
Choose the appropriate VAT code for the option.
Enter the sequence number, if applicable.
Choose an appropriate option group, if applicable.
Choose the appropriate analysis code.
Enter the appropriate manufacturer code, if applicable.
Enter the Menu price code for the option. This only applies to dealer fitted and non-recoverable option.
Select what vehicle types this option is available on. New vehicles, used vehicles or both.
Select whether this option is to default on and if so where.
Choose whether this is a Fixed or Estimated cost option.
Enter the Car tax code, if applicable.
The preferred supplier field can be left blank, as not used in the UK.
Tick allow std to be upgraded, if this is applicable.
Select the any generic option categories, that apply to the option.
Once all relevant fields are completed, click on the OK button, you option is now created.
Once your option is created you need to select the appropriate Availability by
clicking the , then click
on the flag column on the grid to tick the option, this will enable the
option to be available when creating a record in vehicle stock books, showroom and CRM vehicle stocking.
You will then need to price the option.
