Selection of the Purge Approval File option from the Maintenance Control / System Maintenance Menu opens the Purge Approval File form which purges (deletes) all fully posted maintenance approvals over 60(default)days old.
Note: This option may be run manually or placed within timed operations to be run overnight.

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of other useful identification criteria and buttons.
This area of the form simply contains a description of what is achieved by initiating the Purge Approval routine. The description is as follows:
All fully posted Maintenance Authorisations over ?? days old will be deleted.
The following series of command buttons are available:
Deletes all fully posted maintenance approvals over ?? days old.
Note: The ?? denote the number of days that has been set within the Purge Days field held in Maintenance Control / System Maintenance / System Controls / General Tab.
Returns to the System Maintenance Menu without taking any action.
Selection of this option carries out a test run of this process and reports the number of records that are going to be deleted in the status bar at the bottom of the form e.g. Test Run Complete. 33 records will be deleted.
