The Import Maintbook Data form is accessed via Maintenance Control / Miscellaneous Options / Upload Maintbook Data and enables Maintbook data files (received from a third party supplier) to be uploaded to the Kestrel system.
The following files are used within the import/upload process:

The content of the Import Maintbook Data menu bar is as follows:
Upload
Uploads the appropriate third party data files to the appropriate Kestrel system files.
In the case of car data then the following files are uploaded:
- TMDDate.csv
Loads the raw maintbook parts and service data.
- Profile.csv
Loads the Profile Groups and associated service patterns to be allocated to each vehicle variant.
- CAPCross.csv
A file containing the unique Maintbook Unique Reference Number (URN) and CAP Code enabling the Maintbook data to be allocated to vehicle variants held within the Kestrel system using David Henley codes. i.e. this file cross-references the Maintbook URN with the CAP Code and once the CAP Code populates the Franchise Data vehicle variant it can then be cross-referenced with the David Henley code also held against the Franchise Data vehicle variant; therefore, ultimately the Maintbook URN is cross-referenced against the David Henley code.

The following data fields are contained within the Import Maintbook Data Dialogue Box:
The source directory on the local server or P.C. from which the third party data files (TMDDate.csv, Profile.csv, LCVTMDDate.csv, LCVProfile.csv, CAPCross.csv, FLTCross.csv) are to be ulpoaded into the Kestrel system e.g. C:\MAINTBOOK. This pathname is defined in the Maintenance Costing Tab within System Parameters.
A checkbox which, if ticked, denotes that the files to be imported are the LCV Data files as opposed to Car Data files (i.e. files prefixed with LCV.
A checkbox which, if ticked, denotes that the cross-reference file to be used within the import routine is the Fleetnet Cross Reference (FLTCross.csv) file i.e. the fleetnet code as opposed to the CAP code (CAPCross.csv) is to be cross-referenced with the David Henley code within Franchise Data.
