The Notes facility is accessed via selection of the
icon from the Toolbar section of the
Maintenance Control form and is used to create and edit various notes against the
selected maintained vehicle.
Note: Notes may be keyed from other areas of the system in addition to the Maintenance Control form and accessed here.
Tip: Once notes are present for any of the notes areas then the
icon changes to a
icon.
Selection of the icon
displays the Notes Sub-Menu that enables notes to be accessed, created and edit for
the following areas of the system:
Agreement
Vehicle
Driver
Customer
Account
Consists of fifteen lines of free-format text for the entry of user-defined notes against the selected agreement associated with the currently maintained vehicle. Each line holds fifty characters of text. Dependent upon the set up within system parameters (i.e. if the Display Notes In Maintenance Control checkbox is ticked within the General Tab) these notes may automatically be displayed upon opening an agreement.
Presents a small sub-menu with the following options:
Consists of many lines of free-format text for the entry of user-defined notes against the currently maintained vehicle. Each line holds 100 characters of text.
Displays the Scanned Documents form that enables scanned vehicle documents to be viewed.
Consists of fifteen lines of free-format text for the entry of user-defined notes against the selected agreement. Each line holds fifty characters of text.
Displays the Scanned Documents form that enables scanned driver documents to be viewed.
Consists of many lines of free-format text for the entry of user-defined notes against the selected marketing customer associated with the currently maintained vehicle. Each line holds 100 characters of text.
Consists of seven lines of free-format text for the entry of user-defined notes against the Sales Ledger account associated with the currently maintained vehicle. Each line holds seventy characters of text.
A number of command buttons are available. Some buttons are context sensitive and are greyed-out and only become available dependent upon the particular process that is being accessed. The full list of command buttons is as follows:
Saves the text entered into the Notes Dialogue Box for recall at a later date.
Enables any edits to be cancelled.
