Maintenance Control Recalls Tab

The Recalls Tab is accessed via the top section of the Maintenance Control form and is used to review vehicle recall information.

The Tab simply consists of an area that displays a review all the previous vehicle recall work that has been carried out against the selected vehicle.

The focus of the maintenance control form is altered so that the recall tab is displayed immediately if an Outstanding recall record is held against the selected vehicle.

An approval is automatically created for a courtesy car to replace the vehicle that is being recalled. This may be edited or rejected.

The contents of this tab are dependent upon the completion the following:

Recalls Group

The information displayed for each vehicle recall item is as follows:

Issue Date: The manufacturer's (etc) recall date. This value is taken from the previously created Manufacturer Recall record.

Recall Number: The unique manufacturer's (etc) recall number. This value is taken from the previously created Manufacturer Recall record.

Description: Displays a textual description associated with the Manufacturer Recall number e.g. FO4219.

Repairer: the repairer who has carried out the work that is required against the vehicle record. An ellipsis button allows selection from existing repairer company records.

Completed: The date on which the vehicle recall is deemed to be complete. This field is updated by the maintenance controller once the vehicle recall work has been carried out. Following the update of this field the recall is no longer deemed to be Outstanding.

Notes: Displays notes as to why the vehicle is being recalled, etc, in reference to the manufacturer recall document/file. This field is populated with the Vehicle Recall form.
