SERVICE SCHEDULE TAKE ON

Overview

This screen is accessed via Maintenance Control / Service Schedules / Service Schedule Take On.

The screen is split into three areas. These are the Titlebar, the Service Schedule Take On Dialogue Box and a series of Command Buttons at the bottom of the screen.

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the screen name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons. Within this form the titlebar also displays the module code (i.e. FA) and company number (e.g. 01>.

Service Schedule Take On Dialogue Box

The Service Schedule Take On Dialogue Box contains a number fo fields that may be used, individually or in conjunction with each other, to provide data selecton criteria for the allocation of service schedules to rental vehicles.

The Daily Rental Vehicle Hire Group code to which service schedules are to be allocated.

Enter the Hire Group (e.g. E Transit) directly or select the ellipsis (...) button immediately to the right of this field to initiate a Hire Groups search. A single-left-click of the ellipsis button displays an Hire Group Search form that enables selection from the current available hire groups. The cursor is located in the search field. Key part or all of the required hire group code (uppercase characters are required) and select the Hire Group command button. Hire Groups matching the entered criteria are displayed and, having selected the required group by highlighting with the mouse, the OK command button is used to confirm this selection and return to the Service Schedule Take On screen.

Tip: This field can be used in conjunction with the End Group field to allocate service schedules to a range of Hire Groups.

The hire group for which the service schedules are to be allocated. This field can be used in conjunction with the Start Group field to allocate service schedules for a range of hire groups. If service schedules are to be allocated for just one hire group then the same hire group code is to be entered in both fields.

Selection of the drop-down-arrow button immediately to the right of this field presents a drop-down-list of currently available service type that are as follows:

Denotes an MOT service type.

Denotes a ??? service type

Denotes a standard service type.

Selection of the ellipsis button immediately to the right of this field displays the Select a Schedule Template form that enables the appropriate service schedule template header to be allocated.

Command Buttons

The list of command buttons is as follows:

Allocates service schedules to the daily rental hire group selection criteria that is entered.

Exits the Service Schedule Take On screen and returns to the Service Schedule menu without taking any action.

Provides online context sensitive help.
