The Amend Current Action form is used for editing an existing action record held against an accident/incident.
The following fields are displayed:
A unique sequential system generated accident number. The next accident number to be used is allocated centrally (when the record is saved) from the System Controls module via the Next Accident Number field. This field cannot be edited.
The action code required against this accident. Action codes are used to store the activities carried out against an individual accident.
The full description associated with the above action code is displayed to the right of this field.
The Accident Actions set-up form is accessed via Vehicle Administration / Miscellaneous Options / Action Codes.
The user who is to carry out the current action required against the accident.
The date by which the current action is to be carried out.
The time by which the current action is to be carried out.
The date on which the action is completed. If the Force Action Follow-Up field is ticked within the General Tab in System Maintenance / System Parameters then when an action is closed the system immediately prompts with a new Follow-Up Action form so that a follow-up action can be generated immediately. If this checkbox is not ticked then the system prompts Do you want to create a follow-up action?.
Once an action is completed the system prompts to request if a new action record needs to be created. A further action record cannot be created until the previous action record is closed.
A free-format field of up to 50 characters in which to expand upon details of the action.
Located beneath and to the right of the Broadcast Box, is a selection of Command Buttons:
Confirms the action details and saves the record.
Exits the current form and returns to the previous form without saving the action record details.
Deletes the currently selected action record.
