INSURANCE TAB

Overview

Accessed via selection of the Insurance Tab from the Accident form.

The name and address of the insurance company and the broker are stored within this tab. Lookups are provided to allow retrieval or creation of the details from Marketing Company records.

Insurance Tab Dialogue Box

This tab contains data fields relevant to the creation and storage of the insurer details for the driver/company involved in the accident. Both insurance company and insurance broker details may be held within this tab. These fields held are as follows:

Insurance Company

• Record No.

The unique Marketing Magic record number for the selected insurance company. The insurance company is held as a separate company record within the CRM module. The button immediately to the right of this field provides a lookup to the appropriate record within the CRM module.

• Name

The name of the insurance company.

• Address

The address of the insurance company. Up to four lines of address may be entered.

• Post code

The postcode of the insurance company.

• Telephone

The telephone number of the insurance company.

• Alternative Number

An alternative telephone number for the insurance company.

• Fax

The fax number for the insurance company.

• Mobile

An alternative mobile number for the insurance company.

• Policy Number

The company/driver policy number with the insurance company.

• Contact Name

A contact name at the insurance company.

• Reference

The reference number for correspondence with the insurance company.

• Expiry Date

The expiry date for the insurance policy. The button gives access to the standard calendar functionality.

• Excess 1

The policy excess payable.

• Excess 2

The second level of policy excess payable.

Note: There are two policy excess levels. For example, one excess level may be for young drivers under the age of 25 whilst the second level may be for more mature drivers. When the system comes to invoce the excess the it utilises the value in the Excess 2 field first as the default; if there is no value in this field it then picks up the value in the Excess 1 field.

• Level of Cover

A button displays the various levels of cover that are available. Current valid options are as follows:

• Comprehensive

A comprehensive policy.

• TPFT

Third Party Fire and Theft.

• Third Party Only

A third party only policy.

Note: Dependent upon what selection is made for this field the system determines what can or cannot be recharged in the Estimates Record e.g. TPFT enables everything to be recharged.

Insurance Brokers

• Record No.

The unique Marketing Magic record number for the selected insurance broker. The insurance broker is held as a seperate company record within the CRM module. The .gif" width="13" height="19" alt="[...]"> button immediately to the right of this field provides a lookup to the appropriate record within the CRM module.

• Name

The name of the insurance broker.

• Address

The address of the insurance broker. Up to four lines of address may be entered.

• Post code

The postcode of the insurance broker.

• Telephone

The telephone number of the insurance broker.

• Alternative Number

An alternative telephone number for the insurance broker.

• Fax

the fax number for the insurance broker.

• Mobile

An alternative mobile number for the insurance broker.

• Contact Name

A contact name at the broker company.

• Reference

The reference number for correspondence with the insurance broker.
