This form enables the display of as many third party names and addresses and witnesses as required against an accident. This is a useful feature, for example, if the driver is involved in a multiple pile-up on the motorway.
The Third Parties & Witnesses Tab contains two grids which display all of the Third Parties records and Witnesses records held against the currently selected accident. Each grid contains a number of data fields which are as follows:

Third Party Step-by-step process
To access the Third Party option:
From the Master Menu, select the Vehicle Administration option and Company required.
The Vehicle Administration Menu is displayed.
Select the Accident Management option.
The Accident Management Summary form is displayed, showing all the current accidents and actions.
There are now two ways to open an existing accident record.
The first, and most simple route, is to use the mouse to hover over the accident record to be opened and double-left-click to open that record.
The second way is to select the
icon.
This displays the Search for Accident form which enables an existing accident record to be located by allowing entry of one of the following search criteria: Accident No. Registration No.. Date or Driver name.
Enter the required criteria and select the Search command button; this invokes a search of all Accident records, including completed records. If only one record meets the entered criteria then the Accident form enabling review or data editing of an existing accident record.
If more than one Accident record meets the selection criteria use the mouse to double-left-click on the record to open it.
The Accident Tab holds a field called Responsibility; when a code is entered here that has been set up as third party code the system prompts for completion of third party details. Select the OK command button and the system opens the Third Party and Witness details Tab.
Select either the icon or press Ctrl + T on the keyboard. This opens
a new Third Party record.
At the Title field enter the title of the Third Party (Mr/Mrs/Miss/Ms), use the Tab key to move to the next field.
At the First Name and Last Name fields enter the name of the Third Party, use the Tab key to move to the next field.
The Address fields can be entered manually or a postcode can be entered in the Postcode field to initiate the postcode search database for all numbers and names that match the postcode entered and on selection of the correct address the fields are populated. Use the Tab key to move to the next field.
The Telephone contact numbers can be entered into the Telephone Day and Telephone Evening and Mobile fields of the Third Party. Use the Tab key to move to the next field.
Enter a Fax Number of the Third Party if applicable. Use the Tab key to move to the next field.
Enter an Email Address of the Third Party if applicable. Use the Tab key to move to the next field.
The Registration Number field is populated with the Registration number of the Third Party vehicle involved in the Accident; use the Tab key to move to the next field.
The Vehicle Description field can be populated with the description of the vehicle that has been entered into the registration number field.
Using the Tab key moves to the Insurance details of the Third Party.
At the Insurance Company field use the
button to search the CRM
Company records for the insurance company of the Third Party.
If the Insurance Company does not exist in CRM, the Company name, address and contact numbers can be manually entered.
Once the details have been entered select the
icon and the
icon. The details of the
Third Party are now displayed in a grid form on the Third Patry and Witness Tab.

The Grid Display Notes is a free text field, where notes about the Witness can be held.
Once the details have been entered select the

icon. The details of the
witness are now displayed in the witnesses grid form on the Third Patry and Witness Tab.
Third Parties
Each row within this grid contains a third party record created within the
New Third Party Record form which is accessed
via the third party icon
or Third Party option from the Records menu from the
Accident Record.
Name: The name of the third-party driver of the vehicle involved in the accident.
Phone: The telephone number of the third-party driver of the vehicle involved in the accident.
Registration Number: The registration number of the vehicle driven by the third party.
Vehicle Description: The description of the third-party vehicle involved in the accident.
Insurance Company: The insurance company of the third-party driver involved in the accident.
A single-left-click into an existing row in the tab displays the relevant form for the review or editing of the third party accident data.
Witnesses
Each row within this grid contains a witness record created within the
Witness Record form which is accessed
via the witness icon
or Witness option from the Records menu from the
Accident Record.
Name: The name of the person who witnessed the accident.
Notes: Witness notes held against the accident.
Phone: The telephone number of the person who witnessed the accident.
A single-left-click into an existing row in the grid displays the relevant form for the review or editing of the witness data.
