Accessed via selection of the Estimates Tab from the Accident form.
This form enables the display of as many repair estimates as required against an accident.
The Estimates Tab contains a grid which display all of the repair Estimates records held against the currently selected accident. The grid contains a number of data fields which are as follows:
Estimates
Each row within this grid contains a repair estimate record created within the
Estimate Record form which is accessed
via the estimate icon
or Estimates option from the Records menu in the
Accident Record.
The repairer company name.
The primary contact name at the repairer garage with regard to the estimate.
The reference number provided by the repairer for the estimate.
The telephone number of the repairer garage.
The labour value charged by the repairer garage.
This column is initially blank. A Tick is displayed in this column once the estimate is accepted. A single-right-click into an existing row in the grid displays a pop-up Confirm Acceptance form prompting: Accept This Estimate?. Selection of the Yes command button places a tick in this column to denote that this estimate has been accepted.
A single-left-click into an existing row in the grid displays the relevant form for the review or editing of the estimate data.
Tip: A single-right-click into an existing row in the tab displays a pop-up Confirm Acceptance form prompting: Accept This Estimate?. Selection of the Yes command button places a tick in the Accepted column to denote that this estimate has been accepted. This also places an Agreed status on the Titlebar of the Estimate Record form along with the user id and date of acceptance.
Once an estimate is accepted further estimates cannot be raised.
