The Finance Agreement Search form is utilised to locate, select and open a particular funding agreement record by way of a number of alternative selection criteria methods.
To access the Finance Agreement Search:
From the Master Menu, select the Fleet Kompact option and Company required.
The Kestrel Kompact Menu is displayed.
Select the Contract Funding option.
The Contract Funding form is displayed.
Select the

This form is constituted of four elements, which are as follows:
In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.
The Finance Agreement Search dialogue box consists of a tab which contains a number of selection criteria fields that may be used individually or in conjunction with each other in order to locate the required agreement. Entering a search string into one or more of the fields reduces the number of funded agreements that are displayed on the form from which to select. Use of the search facility sometimes requires replacement of the default question marks with correct data. The question marks act as "wild card" characters i.e. any particular question mark may denote any numeric or textual character.
General Tab
This Tab enables a search to be conducted on various basic agreement selection criteria.
Registration: The contract funding search routine can limit the search to a specific vehicle registration only (by entering a registration number within this field); all registrations (by leaving the question marks in place within this field); or, a number of registrations (by using the question mark wild cards - e.g. Y53???? would find all registration numbers beginning with Y53.
Finance Account: This is the Purchase Ledger Account for the Finance Company used for vehicle funding.
Finance Reference: The Funding Reference is user definable and typically the reference allocated to the agreement by the Finance House. Any combination of characters (alpha/numeric) can be entered, up to a maximum of 50.
Registration: This is the Purchase Ledger Account for the Finance Company used for vehicle funding.
Status: Clicking the
button for this field produces a drop-down list displaying the various funding agreement statuses:
All
Pending
Live
Terminated
Clicking on the required option enters the appropriate status into the dialogue box. A search is performed on these criteria. e.g. If Lis entered the system displays all "Live" funded contracts.
Selection Display
Once the required selection criteria is entered, the Selection Display section of the form displays all funded agreements meeting the selected criteria and provides the following data:
Agreement: The agreement number to which the vehicle is attached e.g. 100487.
Funder: This is the Purchase Ledger Account for the Finance Company used for vehicle funding.
Registration: The vehicle registration number e.g. X807UVW The Registration field is populated with the registration number of the vehicle selected in the Vehicle field. It is a read only field.
Funder Ref: The Funding Reference is user definable and typically the reference allocated to the agreement by the Finance House. Any combination of characters (alpha/numeric) can be entered, up to a maximum of 50.
Internal Ref: The internal reference number for the funding agreement. The Internal Reference is user definable and can be used for reporting purposes. Any combination of characters (alpha/numeric) can be entered, up to a maximum of 50. This is normally the vehicle registration number.
Start: The date at which the repayments to the Finance House are to start. (This may be different from the start date of the vehicle agreement with the customer.) Either enter the date directly or use the
button to search using the internal calendar.
Status: The current status code for the funded agreement. See elow for current valid statuses:
Pending
Live
Terminated
Command Buttons
A number of command buttons are available. Some buttons are context sensitive and are greyed-out and only become available dependent upon the particular process that is being accessed. The full list of command buttons is as follows:
Search: This command button is used to confirm the required search criteria and proceed with the agreement search.
Cancel: This command button exits the Finance Agreement Search form and effects a return to the previous form.
Reset: This command button initialises any selection criteria that have been entered.
Help: Provides online context-sensitive help.
