Record Maintenance

Overview

The Record Maintenance option should not be used by anyone except KCC personnel. It enables a record to be edited directly, without verification. Records can be damaged via this option if edited incorrectly.

To access the record maintenance form:

  1. From the Master Menu, select the Fleet Kompact option and Company required.

    The Kestrel Kompact Menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Kerridge Utilities option.

    The Kerridge Utilities menu is displayed.

  3. Select the Record Maintenance option.

The form is split into three areas. These are the Titlebar, the Record Maintenance Grid and the column of Command Buttons at the bottom of the form.

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.

Record Maintenance Grid

The Record Maintenance Grid displays all of the files within the current module. It contains several columns of information which are as follows:

File: The filename e.g. agree.

Description: The name of the file e.g. Agreements.

Number Records: Displays the current number of records within the file.

Max Records: Displays the maximum number of records that may be held in the file.

The list displays up to a maximum of twenty four records at any one time. To view the remaining records the Scroll Bar to the right of the form can be operated in a number of ways:

COMMAND BUTTONS:

A number of command buttons are available. Some buttons are context sensitive and are greyed-out and only become available dependent upon the particular process that is being accessed. The full list of command buttons is as follows:

Maintain: Enables access to directly edit a record. A double-left-click of the mouse on the required filename row opens up the Record Maintenance Sub-form for direct maintenance of records within the file.

Cancel: Exits the Record Maintenance form and returns to the Kerridge Utilities Menu.

Help: Provides online access to a context sensitive Help form.
